We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Fjarllet very much. The hotel and the rooms were clean and had everything we needed. The food was very good, with a wide variety available at the breakfast buffet, served in a restaurant with a stunning view. What made our stay even better was the polite and friendly staff, who kindly responded to some of our special requests. We would definitely stay at this hotel again. Thank you very much.
The hiking trails were incredibly beautiful and we enjoyed the quiet of visiting in the shoulder season. The food was amazing for dinner and the breakfast buffet. I was very grateful for how careful the staff was in regard to my celiac disease, all the gluten free food was wonderful and it was nice feeling safe to eat there.
Totally Amazing location! The hotel is on top of a mountain with excellent views of the surrounding landscape and lake. The hotel is very comfortable and the staff are kind and professional. The restaurant in the hotel serves a great breakfast and we had a delicious dinner for New Years Eve. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Fjallet! Thank you!
Cabin is big and clean with nice view. However guest need to pay bedding (about 220 SEK per each) and clean the cabin. Otherwise it has additional 2000 SEK cleaning fee.
Hello, we had one unpleasant episode, despite the hotel being wonderful. The landscape is absolutely breathtaking, and on our fourth day we were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights, an unforgettable experience. Throughout our stay, we were very well treated by all the staff: receptionists, housekeeping team, and other employees. In particular, Antonio and Jared were exceptional, polite, attentive, patient with our limited English, and truly committed to the well-being of the guests. They walked with us all the way to the station, since we didn’t know the way. They were exemplary professionals and didn’t even accept a tip.
Unfortunately, we had a negative experience during our departure involving Juke, the van driver. He was alone in the hotel van but refused to take us, choosing instead to transport only our backpacks, and with visible bad mood and rudeness. Because of this, we had to walk in the cold unnecessarily. To make matters worse, he left our bags unattended at the station, exposing them to the risk of being taken or tampered with. His attitude contrasted completely with the hotel’s usual standard of hospitality, which has always demonstrated respect and care for guests.
Despite this single incident, which does not reflect the overall quality of the service provided, our stay was wonderful. We loved the hotel, the staff, and the entire experience.
Thank you for your attention.

The hotel itself was pretty cozy. The staff were friendly, for the most part. They have a sauna, gym, restaurant, lobby bar, game room, and a bar downstairs. The views were incredible. There were a lot of activities to keep busy. The only downside is the cost to get to the hotel from the airport in Kiruna. There were no trains or buses available after our flight arrived or before we departed, so we had to pay for a taxi both trips. It cost us $268 for the drive to the hotel, and $238 back to the airport. The cab drivers will up charge you for everything, so be prepared.

Great views, poor service.
Spectacular views from the room we stayed. Old but homely cottage. Be aware that if you stay in a cottage, you need to pay for linen and towels. You are also required to clean up the rooms before checking out. This was not stated anywhere when we booked the room. Front desk does not answer calls after 6 pm. The receptionist was least responsive to our requests/queries. On the last day of our stay, there was no breakfast served. Staff explained that the hotel was now on the off-season schedule. Nobody bothered to tell us in advance and we were told it was on website.
We had a really nice stay at the Hotell Fjallet, my wife had injured her ankle, so we got a room at the ground floor, very helpful staff. We had a nice dinner in the restaurant, we could see the northern lights outside from our room, and there was a fast charger for EVs next to the hotel, ideal to pop up the car for our trip to Norway the next day.
We stayed one night in summer. The cabin was clean and cosy, and staff were helpful. Arriving late was no issue thanks to the 24/7 reception.
Booked via Hotels.com, unfortunately there was no info that bed linen and cleaning weren’t included, so double-check in advance.
Nice peaceful spot, with a waterfall and beach about 2 km away. Overall, a pleasant stay!
amazing setting, gorgeous views, unforgettable walks in the nearby paths. the hotel is also decent, but the real attraction here is the overwhelming beauty of nature.
The area around the hotel is beautiful and easily accessible for all kinds of snow sports.
Having to pay extra for towels, bedding and cleaning seems excessive considering the cost of the stay.

We booked this, believing it was like a hotel room. It wasnt shown anywhere that you had to rent sheets, duvets etc for the beds. This cost us 225 kr per person...
We asked the reception if we could just borrow, since we already paid 2000 kr for the room, but no.. Then the breakfast was not included so additonaly 500 kr to the room.
The surronding area was very nice and we liked the nature. But if a family with small children askes if it possible to get bed supplies in the middle of the night, dont try to make money out of it.
Restaurant was good, expansice but good.

It’s 15 minutes drive to Abisko, and from the room we can see a really nice view of the lake! Great value and convenient if you rent a car. Their restaurant does not offer a lot of food options though. The toilet looks quite old but is very clean.
The chalets were very comfortable, 2 separate rooms and decent sized single beds (some very tiny ones down in Abisko!). Sauna was wonderful! Views in the morning were stunning (we were second row from the front). Kitchen had what we needed and the food in Hotel Fjallet itself was delicious. On the down side, the numbers of the chalets were not marked particularly well and Reception couldn't book us a table for dinner, we had to go onto the website which was faffy but all good in the end.
Very well located hotel, ideal position to watch the aurora without going far.
Room was ok.
There are several shared facilities like sauna, table football, bar which make the stay pleasant even far from all main facilities.
The whole hotel was a bit cold to stay in.
Staff on location was nice, but it was difficult to communicate with them before the stay to get info - they urged to book a table at the restaurant if we wanted to dine there, but never explained that there was a fixed menu for new year's eve (which I had asked through expedia never getting any reply), until we were sitting at the table
Pros: Amazing View, Mountains, "U-Shape" Valley, The restaurant is quite expensive but it is worthy it.
Cons: Parking Spaces are too far from the room, specially on extremely cold temperatures, the rooms are very old, very small and very noisy.
Also cleaning is big issue, we never saw a vacuum working which makes a very dusty carpet.

There were extreme weather conditions that cancelled all means of reaching the location. The hotel refused to cancel and even move my booking for another time.
I felt this was an abusive way of holding to the booking terms and conditions under events of force major.
