This was my first trip to the UK. I came to watch the Blackpool Dance Festival. It took a bit of learning of what to expect for accommodations in England. The people who ran the hotel and the staff couldn't have been nicer and truly cared about their guests. Breakfast felt like a family affair, served buffet style, and was quite adequate. The room was small, but clean and large enough for my needs. Free secure Wi-Fi. Air conditioning = open the window. It was a trek up the stairs to my top floor room, but it was good exercise and I didn't mind. The bathroom was very small, but again it was sufficient for my needs. Plumbing in the UK is very different from the US, even in public facilities, so don't be surprised if things don't always work the first try. I selected this hotel because it was very close to the Winter Gardens and it was very reasonable for my budget. I would definitely say here again if I can get a reservation. One lady I met stays here every year, a dance group booked 9 rooms for next year, so that says a lot.
