The Allendale Hotel

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at The Allendale. A family-run business with a nice, warm family feeling. Staff were very friendly, fun and helpful. Breakfasts were included and much better than some of the local diners I frequented in the area. My room was spotless and perfect for what I needed. I was very comfortable and felt right at home. I would stay there again!

Hotel with a homey feeling

This was my first trip to the UK. I came to watch the Blackpool Dance Festival. It took a bit of learning of what to expect for accommodations in England. The people who ran the hotel and the staff couldn't have been nicer and truly cared about their guests. Breakfast felt like a family affair, served buffet style,and was quite adequate. The room was small, but clean and large enough for my needs. Free secure Wi-Fi. Air conditioning = open the window. It was a trek up the stairs to my top floor room, but it was good exercise and I didn't mind. The bathroom was very small, but again it was sufficient for my needs. Plumbing in the UK is very different from the US, even in public facilities, so don't be surprised if things don't always work the first try. I selected this hotel because it was very close to the Winter Gardens and it was very reasonable for my budget. I would definitely say here again if I can get a reservation. One lady I met stays here every year, a dance group booked 9 rooms for next year, so that says a lot.

Bon hôtel pour prix raisonnable

L'hôtel est en plein cœur du centre-ville. La chambre était petite mais très propre. Le petit déjeuné est très copieux et bon.

Breakfast is only on from 8.30 till 9.15 we got down for it at 9.20 and they said no finished and i think we were the only ones in that morning. Hotel was very Noise on the second night. wont be going back

Honest Review

Top marks for breakfast, cleanliness, location and hosts. Unfortunately the bed was extremely uncomfortable with springs digging in us. Obviously I can only speak for the room we stayed in, number 8. There was no point complaining as the hotel was full. It takes just 2 minutes walking to the centre of Blackpool and at night time there is no noise from any clubs\pubs etc. If we stay here again I would request a different room when booking as we would not want to sleep in that bed again.

Allendale hotel our two night stay

my wife and have just returned home today (sun 5th April) after two nights stay, the room was comfortable and clean with all the extras you need. breakfast was good quality, good parking was arranged for us. overall I would say a good hotel to stay at. the four poster bedroom is large but is up 3 flights of stairs breakfast times are 8.30-9.15 this seemed too short but I would have no problem booking this hotel again.

Delightful hosts and lovely hotel

We stayed for 2 nights with our two young boys. The rooms were small, but perfectly equipped. The wifi worked, breakfast was great and our hosts delightful. 2 minutes walk to the Winter Gardens. Our hosts were lovely and reserved a parking space for us in their car park at the back. Will definitely visit again!

great price,

my partner and i booked for 1 night only. a lovely welcome from staff. very friendly and helpful. we had room only because we were leaving early next morning. we had room 16 on the top floor , room was smallish, same with bathroom, but the price was fantastic. £40. hotel clean and the breakfast cooking next morning smelt lovely. located right next to the bars. which was great for us no taxis needed. would return

Great location, close to all the entertainment

Hi we stayed here for 2 nights in November, the hotel was clean and the staff were very friendly. Our room was clean but a little dated the bed was very uncomfortable and the pillows were hard so we didn't get a decent nights sleep. Breakfast was good with great service. Overall a decent hotel just the bed and the pillows let it down

Great hotel for everyone

The hotel is in the perfect location, the room was wonderful, the customer service remarkable. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast fantastic. We have never felt so welcome in a hotel before. I can reccommend this hotel.

I was very happy with my stay at the Allendale. As I was staying there alone ( my friends were in another B and B) I actually felt very welcome safe and secure.. My room was clean and comfy and I could relax there in peace. The family who run it were friendly but not intrusive. Breakfast was fine and service was good .It was very homely and I would stay there again.
