Radisson RED Hotel London Heathrow

4/10 Poor

"Will not stay there again. The carpets in the hallway to the rooms smelled. They sprayed this strong scent all over the hotel so they can cover up for the carpet smell I guess. We were told we had to pay 5 pounds/person for the pool which is ridiculous because it should be included and the changing rooms were so dirty with towels all over the floor and were slippery floors. The staff at the pool was also not nice and attempted to open the door to the changing room while my daughter was changing even though I told him we were in there after he knocked. The pool itself was so hot (like a hot tub) and there was no airconditioning in the area. My kids swam for 5 min and left. I couldn't wait to get out of that hotel!"

"Location is great. Staff was excellent! The few times we were at the lobby we were treated very well by Francis. The service and attention he provided were very exceptional, along with short, but pleasant conversations which made the human experience of our travels that much more memorable. "We stayed at this "luxury" hotel because it was the only one at terminal 5. While the hotel looked luxurious, the A/C in the room was terrible. It was set at 19C but it was not cool. The shower door opened out and you couldn't put the shower mat on the floor outside the shower door because the door wouldn't allow it when opening. The floor was very slippery when wet. The international restaurant food was fine but the service was terrible. Our waiter was very rude."

"Ther facility had a lot of worn carpet and areas needing painting The pictures on Expedia are not representative of current The restaurant was mediocre at best. The hostess really tried and was attentive. However why ask how do I want my burger cooked? if you're just going to tell me the kitchen will only do it well done. I've also have never in my life eaten at a restaurant where I didn't have an option for medium rare. The room window faced a brick wall and garbage was everywhere outside the window l The shuttle is not complimentary (this would mean a service provided on behalf) So it cost about 6 pounds to get to terminal 3 Experience was disappointing for a Radisson"

"I specifically booked this hotel because of the Pod to Heathrow. Nowhere on the site do they let you know it’s out of action and nor did the staff tell me that was the case at check-in. In fact she led me to believe it was working when she told me how to use it, gave me a printout of how to work it and then charged me £8.50 to use it. Instead one is paying £8.50 to use a replacement bus service. Very disappointed that I was misled and will not stay at Thistle again."

"I only stayed 1 night in the hotel with my 9 years old daughter. Overall it is a good hotel for 1 night, but we had some challenges: Hotel car park (£18/night) is very small, it was full when we arrived, had to look for an alternative option near by. Better have a plan B before you arrive. Swimming pool has restricted schedule for children. The pool is open until 8.00pm. We arrived at 6.00pm to the pool and been told that the children session is over. I booked a hotel especially for the pool. We went next day early after breakfast and before check out, but the pool was too busy. We wanted to have a meal in the hotel restaurant, we got a table after 20 min. queuing up, but we decided to leave as we saw other guest are complaining that they are waiting 45 mins for their food. We went to the nearby Indian restaurant what was lovely."
