"Close to the train station, short walk to town centre, excellent breakfast, good to have air conditioning, little noisy with trains and passing traffic."

"Really accommodating host.
We needed an early check in and this was sorted for us no problem.
Clean room. Comfy bed. Good shower.
Although no-one manned the reception, the host was easy to get hold of and made the stay easy as pie.
Thank you very much"

"Nice quiet pub setting, we had a meal each night and a breakfast each day and could not complain about anything, short walk to the rooms, helpful staff and good beer!"

"Beautiful hotel in a perfect location, walking distance from everything you need and the beach too.
Staff were pleasant, even though it was clear they were very short staffed, the made sure everyone was happy.
Car park on site is also open to the public and small, we were lucky to get a space on a bank holiday. Parking in Bournemouth is scarce and can be expensive keep this in mind when travelling.
The room was lovely, we were up in the rafters so did have to climb some stairs, worth booking an accessible room if you cannot do steps.
We stayed during a heatwave, it was unbearable outside in the sun, I would recommend more parasols were needed. We were thankful for the AC in the bedroom, this really helped us cool down and get a good sleep.
The food was the only slight let down, although they only had one chef in the kitchen that day. The pasta was a bit boring, I have no idea if this is the standard though. The mussels were a tiny portion, ordered a main but looked like a starter. I did question the size with the waiter and he said that’s the normal portion, barely filled half a pot.
Overall we would definitely stay again, we didn’t get chance to use the pool or spa so nest time we will definitely book in for treatments."
"Had a fantastic time at the Durley Dean Hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable, but the absolute highlight was having access to the excellent spa and gym facilities—perfect for relaxing after a long day. The staff were incredibly welcoming and the service was spot on from start to finish. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back!"
"Room: super hot, no air conditioning, had to ask for a fan that moved hot air around. Window opened 2 cm only.
No wifi or network signal AT ALL. A black hole.
No amenities in the hotel, had to walk to the sister hotel for a drink or ice or a swim. No food or bar on the premises.
I booked the hotel for my daughter and she left after two nights only because she was fed up.
Never again."
"Area around hotel not the best. Glad we were not there at weekend, but hotel felt very secure. The locked, very expensive , underground parking. Lifts that required a room key to use them gave a good feeling of security.
Good aircon , plenty of hot water and a comfortable bed made for a good stay.
I judge a hotel on its towels and these were large, thick, very white bath sheets. 10/10
Breakfast was good with choice of hot and cold dishes, make your own waffles, and fruit. Very enjoyable.
Price very reasonable. We would stay again."
"Staff lovely : incredibly helpful and welcoming . Breakfast acceptable. Bedlinen and towels clrean. However room tired and outdated decor quality shocking. Tv only appeared to have one workable station. Bath had sand in the bottom."
"I chose a budget room which was £144 per night. I stayed two nights over the Bank Holiday heatwave . There was a brick wall outside my window and only two of the windows would open a maximum of 3 inches. The bathroom window did not open and the fan was not working. It was wretched in the heat. You have to have the light on to see even in daylight. I was given a very basic fan . I asked to change my room the next day. It was inhumane to expect anyone to be in a room with no ventilation in that heat. I was told I could only go to the same room above mine with the same brick wall. I was offered a Dyson fan, taken from someone else’s room, but although it said it blew cold air there was none.
The fire alarm went off 3 times the first night and at 4.40 in the morning the whole hotel was evacuated for an hour. It was a fault in the alarm system, a false alarm.
I thought the swimming pool was lovely for the children . The breakfast was poor,if you didn’t eat cooked things. The cereal choices were mimimalist .
Lunch was £16 a panini which wasn’t even that good, and the service was slow, considering they were ready made. A glass of wine was an eye watering £9
No I would not recommend this very tired hotel although the staff appeared to do their best . My sink was not cleaned and my toiletries not replaced after my first night. So I had to ask for these Very disappointed indeed."
"Our room looked out to sea it was on the third floor with good views the furnishings were dated but the decor was clean the bathroom was dated and was in a rather poor condition the public areas were clean the bar area was large with an opulent feel of a bygone time but the disappointing thing for us was the our lift was broken and we were not informed of this at reception"
