"Bathroom could do with a touch of paint as there was a damaged part on the wall. It had been touched up, but not fully. The hotel info on the TLV didn’t work either. However, the desk staff were friendly and really helpful. I would stay here again but a bit more attention to detail would make a big difference."

"We recently stayed at The Whitehouse Hotel in Peterlee as a group of five, and it was an absolute delight. The rooms were spotless, tastefully decorated, and the beds were incredibly comfortable—just what we needed for a relaxing stay. Although we hadn’t pre-booked breakfast for all five of us the night before, the staff were more than happy to accommodate us on the day without any fuss, which we really appreciated. That kind of flexibility and friendliness made a big difference. We didn’t use the bar, so can’t comment on that, but everything else about our stay was smooth and enjoyable. This place is a real gem of a find—highly recommended!"

"Felt as if the cottage needed a really good clean,there was a lot of black mould in the bathroom,it needs an extracter fan the,the shower had no pressure and the lights had a motion sensor so kept going out.Bins haven't been emptied and are overflowing. We had to fix the front door because it wouldn't lock. For £30 a night it was okay but i wouldn't rush back. Sorry"
