"The size of the room with the small kitchen was a nice surprise. Breakfast was very good with a lot of variety. The workout room had nice machines along with weights. A grill was out near the pool so that was nice but It didn’t look like it was cleaned very often. Thats really the only problem we saw."

"We enjoyed the room and the beds for so comfortable. The only thing we had a problem with was the door to the hotel room would not shut properly so you had to pull or push hard to shut it and the key card for the back door of the property was not working correctly so had to go back in the front door every time. Very clean and relaxing."

"Overall everything was acceptable. The hotel needs updating. Water pressure not good. Location very good. Staff excellent. Room was clean and cool. The AC is very loud thru the night. But the stay felt safe & comfortable. "

"Cute decor, comfortable bed. We had to request extra pillows and received one. Had to ask again, received more, but housekeeping removed them the next day for some reason. Details we felt would have made our stay more comfortable: more than two hangers, a dresser or place to hold 2nd suitcase items. More than just 2 bath, 2 wash cloths, and 2 hand towels in the room. My husband is a disabled combat Veteran and the Inn should keep at least one luggage cart on property. One of the main reasons we booked this place over others was because of the heated pool. The pool was not heated, nor was it clean. That was very disappointing! We also found the light breakfast offered each morning lacking. It was very evident that pastries, etc., were previously frozen, and thawed for that morning. Lastly, we had read the reviews before booking, and found only one young lady to be warm, friendly and helpful. We loved Amelia Island, but would not recommend this property."

"Stayed at Hoyt House in early April. Weather was lousy. Everything else was great. Location is within easy walking distance of restaurants and stores of Fernandino Beach. Everything in the Inn was in top shape, and a lot of thought clearly went into making the guests comfortable. Umbrellas when it rained. A glass of wine in the afternoon. Plenty of places to sit witha book or other activity. "
