"An absolutely stunning hotel, such a brilliant conversion (it’s so clearly still the prison that it originally was, in a really very good way!), beautifully fitted out (what a great bath) and with such great and friendly service. Definitely in my Top 10 of all hotels I’ve stayed in (and I do stay at rather a lot), I will be back - hopefully with my wife some time (this was a business trip). If you can, stay here, you won’t regret it."

However, these facilities remained out of action for the duration of my stay, making this booking disappointing and over priced. There was no notice at time of booking that the facilities were out of action or i would have booked elsewhere."

"Great find, extensive car park, very comfortable room with everything you need and a lovely touch was a decanter with a little sherry in for a pre dinner tipple. Food was good with an extensive menu and friendly helpful staff. All in all a great 2 night stay in this lovely hotel. Ideally situated for Eden project visit, would definitely recommend."

"Eric was super helpful and provided plenty of information ahead of the stay. He even went the extra mile to drop me off at the nearby Lanhydrock Golf club where I charged my EV (shout out to Mark from the club too for working the charger!). The parking is a little tricky so needs care especially in the dark but a bonus compared to other b&b with none or only on-street parking. Breakfast was self service but use of the kitchen meant you could cook your own eggs. Eric also offered free use of...
