A proper English country pub
Lovely village pub set in the middle of some beautiful countryside. Very friendly staff & owners. Good food and a good selection of different beers.

Warm welcome. Room perfect. Better than expected. Nice touch of shortbread biscuits made by chef on site. Very morish. Dinner very good, a little too big. Bed comfy and warm. Nice continental breakfast. Well worth a stay. I shall be back.

A delightful inn, full of charm and beautifully finished. All the staff and the locals were very friendly. Everything was spotless, the room was comfortably finished and cosy. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and both had the most sublime steaks. We ate again in the morning and opted for breakfasts which were equally delicious. All in all, couldn't fault it!

Don’t bother with Premier Lodges - just stay here
Great find - been before a while back will make this my default place to stay when I’m in the area Great food - lovely people This was cheaper than any of the “premier lodges” and much more enjoyable Great quiet location but still near enough to everything Best poached eggs in the area !! 😀👍 Continental breakfast is free but a subsidised charge for cooked breakfast- so my eggs plus extra toast was only £3 !

Our stay was amazing. The quality of the room and the facilities is excellent and the host could not do more for us even offering advice on walks in the local area. The food in the restaurant is first class with an abundance of locally sourced produce on the menu. I could not recommend this highly enough.

The Crown is extremely clean, friendly and welcoming. Room 9 (family room) was huge and very comfortable. The extra touches like sherry, biscuits and toiletries were very nice. The pub was very busy but the food was tasty and excellent quality. See you again

Perfect place for a break
Excellent B&B attached to a lovely pub. We stayed for two nights & were met by a friendly staff member who welcomed us & showed us to our room. She gave us some great tips re things to see & do in the local area. Our room was perfect for us, 2 adults & 2 teenagers. Lovely new walk in shower in a newly renovated bathroom. The tipple of sherry was a nice touch. We ate in the restaurant on the first night & the food & service was first class. Delicious, locally sourced ingredients, cooked to perfection & reasonably priced as well. Breakfast was a help yourself style continental, which was well stocked with plenty of choice of fresh locally sourced ham, cheese & eggs. They offered a very cheap full English breakfast if you’d like as well as the continental. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 nights here, & would definitely recommend & will be returning soon!

We stayed at the Crown Inn for two nights, the room was very cleaned and we loved the was was furnish and decorated very cosy and welcoming. Good variety of options for the continental Breakfast and very good prices for the cooked one. We also dine there both nights as we enjoyed the first night. The owners are very nice and friendly! We will definitely consider to stay there when visiting Cornwall in future!

Nice old pub with clean and well furnished bedroom.Dinner and continental breakfast good.My main criticism was the noise level after midnight.My partner had to ask the landlord for the music to be turned down half an hour after midnight.Music was eventually turned off but we were disturbed until 2am with loud talking and laughing in the bar below our bedroom.

The whole stay was fantastic. The friendliness of the staff and the little touches such as homemade biscuits in the room - was a very welcome change from the usual Hotel fare.

Beautiful hidden away accommodation next to a cosy heritage pub. The room was warm costly clean bedding with everything you need for a nights stay. Homemade biscuits left for guests. Breakfast is continental with the option to buy a cooked breakfast combination. The extra was worth it. Local butcher sausages, bacon and hoggs pudding. From the moment you arrive you dont want to leave, instead stay snuggled up by the fire with a pint in gour hand.

Great Stay!
Great hotel. Rooms are lovely and shower is excellent! Staying in a dog friendly room which was great being next to the gardens. Pub food was also great which we booked the evening we stayed. Well recommended! Owner was very friendly and accommodating to us.

Quaint rooms, lovely food
Lovely rooms, very comfortable and clean. Great service, the landlord is very friendly and helpful. Food also very tasty and locally sourced, as well as local ales and gins. Loved our stay!

Staff wonderful, location incredible, clean, quiet, accomodating, Nice outside space to relax, Great food for breakfast and dinner. Would love to stay here some more. Butter cookies -- incredible. Sheets and towels were especially nice given the stuff at many other places we experienced in England.

Lovely, friendly team to meet and greet. We needed to be away early the following day and the chef came on half an hour early so he could cook us breakfast. Lovely food, great beer and we had a cracking bottle of Les Oliviers Cote du Rhone.

Go on, treat yourself!
A lovely place to stay. Rooms are a good size with plentiful tea and coffee making supplies, free WIFI, pleasant views, comfy and clean beds, an easy to operate shower and plenty of peace, quiet and fresh air. The pub is friendly, with real fires and a welcoming atmosphere. Breakfast was very tasty (lots of local produce) and well presented and the evening meal we had was equally delicious.

Fantastic stay at the Crown Inn. We were visiting family in Par. Ideal location, staff couldn’t have done more. We had evening meal and breakfast there. Meals were top notch and service was second to none. Already booked again for May visit!

Lovely quaint rooms and brilliant food.
Lovely old world charm. Rooms spotless, clean and full of character. Took a while to get the radiator setting correct as found the room very hot (which is better than too cold). Dogs really enjoyed the stay as well and were allowed in the bar area as well. Only a slight criticism was the pillows, which seemed to be either feather or something else and appeared to be very hard on the head to dent and make them comfy, but once you got the spot the sleep was quiet and relaxing. We had a meal in the bar which was super and very large (especially the cod & chips). We had relatives visit and all enjoyed the meals and starters as well as desserts. Breakfast in the morning (Full Cornish) was one of the largest cooked breakfasts I have tried to eat. After the meal the night before, it was a struggle to eat it all and very sorry but the fried bread was just scrummy (sorry diet, you will have to wait a few more weeks to get back on track). Overall, apart from the little bit of issue with the pillows the stay was brilliant and would recommend. Oh and mornings you can hear the woodpeckers busy at work in the surrounding countryside.

Repeat visit to The Crown. Great location.
Friendly Pub accomodation, we have stayed before as such a good location. Decent sized room, spotless. Lovely and warm too. Bathroom perfectly usable with decent sized shower and fluffy towels. Breakfast was substantial. Pub food also good choice with specials on the board. Local ales and cider. Also happy to offer advice on what and where to visit if you are undecided!
