The White Hart Inn Bodmin
The accommodation was basic but adequate it was very noisy downstairs in the public bar with loud music being played every night. Very basic pub.For locals only.The fire escape was very hazardous to use if you left outside the opening hours and was not very well lit at night.You went down stairs and up again. I had to ask someone to show me the exit route.When I booked the hotel online I got the impression that a cooked breakfast was being provide from the information given on the website at an additional cost but that was not the case when we arrived at the Inn.They had know chef. The family room was small, needed towel rails, socket for the kettle,also a shave socket.The beds were comfortable andthe sheets were clean and towels were provided.

The white Hart is a beautiful and welcoming place . The staff are kind , considerate and thoughtful. The entertainment is to die for . I would recommend it to anyone.

The property was completely run down . Extreme bad state of repair all round, and dirty. We booked for two nights, but left first thing in the morning after just one night. When leaving we had to exit via fire escape as the pub was shut and quite frankly that was a danger in itself. When booking it was advertsed as Bed and Breakfast,but when we got there we were told there was no breakfast "due to covid" - However there appeared to be absolutely no covid restrictions in the very noisy bar. Having said that, we would not have eaten in such dirty conditions anyway! So basically we paid for two nights B & B and had one night with very little sleep. Basically, if you are thinking of visiting this hell hole - don't !

Noisy pub and a bad night sleep. No Breakfast served but is advertised as with breakfast. Quite misleading. Should put correct adds. Also faced parking glitches. No value for money. I will Recommend spend a little more and stay in a decent place.

I think some of the reviews I have read have been pretty unfair based on my experience. You're paying less than 40 quid, you're not going to get the Hilton for that. It's a safe, warm place for spending little time in. The welcome was very friendly, informative, time was taken to explain things, and take a breakfast order. I was directed to the free car park and given the wifi code. The property is old but kept warm. The bathroom was absolutely spotless and basic toiletries provided. Towels folded nicely. A microwave was in the room. Kettle, tea, coffee but there was no milk unfortunately. I'm sure if I'd asked I'd have got some immediately. The pub is incredibly noisy... not somewhere restful. The noise did stop at 12:30am and was silent after however. Breakfast was fresh, and quickly prepared. The bed wasn't comfortable because the pillow was terrible. Not really much excuse for that I'm afraid... The telly worked fine. All in all if you take it for what it is, have very little money and don't plan to spend a lot of time in the room then it's perfectly safe and convenient.

Squeaky bed, poor pillow. Frayed furniture. Carton milk turned to cheese so no tea or coffee. Broken lampshade and bed light didn't work. General run down old property.

A fine base for exploring the area
Well all I can say is that you get what you pay for. We stayed here for 2 nights, bed and breakfast. Staff very pleasant, especially the breakfast chef. The room was tired but perfectly acceptable for a place to sleep. Towels and toiletries provided along with tea making facilities and a microwave! The bar was full of locals and a darts team but nobody batted an eyelid at us 'strangers'! A great cooked breakfast with tea, toast, cereal and juice. All I can say is that the negative reviews are expecting too much for the price. I'd stay again.

Weekend stay at the White Hart Bodmin
I stayed here because I was running a bookstall at the model railway exhibition which ran over the weekend and I didn't want to have to go up and down from my home in Redruth over three days. The White Hart's charges are very reasonable and it is conveniently placed in the middle of town. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The lighting was excellent and there was a good TV which worked! There was plenty of hot water and the shower was excellent. There was not much storage space - no wardrobe, only hooks, because it was a small room, but it was ample for a short stay. The décor looked a little worn in places. It was a pity there was no food available in the evenings - I had to either go out to a café or buy sandwiches. There was a microwave in the room but I didn't use it. The cooked breakfast was very good, but there was only one choice of juice and two of cereal. The biggest drawback in the evening was the live music which was extremely loud. It was bad enough in my bedroom, in the bar it would have been ear shattering! Overall the White Hart gives value for money.

Arrived to book in at bar in middle of raucous birthday celebrations -apologies from staff re swearing etc. Noise very clear in room. 2nd night there was incident involving paramedic called to bar after which noise subsided. This is very much a local pub (No draft ale only lagers) There is currently no food served apart from breakfast. The staff are friendly enough but it seems at times that there is little control over their bar customers.

Was put off by the state of the outside particularly the front door which looked like it had been kicked in at some point. Only two parking spaces free the others around wanted £5. I was feeling unwell so we decided not to stay. I phoned the hotel and the person I spoke to was very pleasant and sympathetic. I lost my deposit but didn’t have to pay any more which I think was very fair.

DO NOT STAY HERE! Dirty and VERY unsafe. Pub full of loud drunks at 2 in the afternoon. One of them shoved me out of the way. I'm trying to get my money back, but Expedia only has a US number for me to call. This palce should be closed. Filthy, mattress on the floor, one stinky, flat pillow. I did't stay, had to spend a great deal more to be safe and clean for the night. Expedia, stop booking this rat-hole!

Disappointing. Not what I expected
Single room (No. 3) was old and tired, dingy in a poor state of repair. The door was already opened when I arrived, and someone had used the toilet and not flushed! Bed was uncomfortable and pillows were thin. Window rattled in the wind. Bathroom tiles were stained and shower head ran hot and cold. Reception staff didn't seem to know about my booking when I checked in. On first night arrival I had to hunt around to find one of the free parking spaces that were promised. The only saving grace was an excellent chef in the morning who personally took my order each morning and served a great veggie breakfast.

We didnt stay at this property, we arrived to find they had live music and it was a very loud and roudy pub, i have my 12 year old with me, the language being used by their customers was shocking, not quite what we were expecting at all, ended up at the local premier inn at great expense, dissappointed

Great basic inn within easy walking distance to the town's pubs and eateries. Providing you don't mind basic accommodation this is a good place to stay and the breakfast was excellent. Helios

this "hotel" should be closed immediately due to its poor hygiene and health and safety issues. In addition there is a breach of Customer's law - the "hotel" advertises breakfast, but does not provide such. The state of the furniture and hygiene is far below standards. Health and safety issues and lack of disability access is also of a great concern .

A Major Disaster! Let's move to another hotel!
A bar lady checked us in resentfully and we were told to use the back steps to come and go. The back steps consisted of outdoor three sets of steps in an area heaped with trash. The rug was filthy and the room was really small. We took our luggage out the back door and signed in at the Wellington Hotel within walking distance. It was clean, less money and had an excellent restaurant.

Bedding needs upgrading mattress pillows and duvet felt and looked old , breakfast was over cooked not worth the price , had to pay extra £7.00 ( 50p for paying with card ) for breakfast even though it was included in the price when i booked through Hotels.com , one positive the shower was very good
