"It was a bit confusing since in order to check in you must visit the shop listed. However the Penthouse was comfortable, and convenient. We were concerned about the brown water running from the bath tap, but did not address with manager since only there overnight. Wifi was great and super convenient."

"Beautiful property in stunning scenery and close to amenities and some incredible wine estates close by. The property is beautifully furnished and so comfortable with a great outdoor space and pool. Our host Joan was easy to get hold of and really accommodating. Would definitely recommend if you’re in the Franschoek area!"

When planning, we narrowed our choices down to La Residence or Mont Rochelle, and we couldn’t be happier with our decision. From the moment we arrived, we immediately felt the warmth and hospitality of the team. A special mention goes to Peter, whose energy and enthusiasm could be felt from the moment we met him—you could hear his voice from across the property, and his positivity instantly set the tone for our stay. He not only made us feel welcome but also gave us excellent recommendations for local wineries and even arranged a fantastic dinner reservation at Leeu Estate, which was a highlight of our trip. The property itself is absolutely stunning—surrounded by vineyards and mountains, it feels like a serene escape. Our room was beautiful and thoughtfully prepared with anniversary goodies from the manager, Annette, who also took the time to personally greet us at breakfast, which made the experience feel even more special. Every detail, from the attentive service to the relaxed yet elegant vibe, made our stay exceptional. Excellent location with fantastic views over Gordon's Bay.
