"The cooking staff and the waiter (a boy) were friendly and helpful. The Riad looked great in the lobby. My room just outside the lobby was a bit musty and having asthma I requested another room but they didn’t have any. I had trouble working the air conditioning thinking that might help but the remote battery was dead. Bought 2 and I still couldn’t get it to work. Finally able to get assistance and it helped. Lastly maybe because of its location there was a distinct odor of sewer. I cut my 5 night stay to 4 and left for Chefchouen"
"This is a beautifully restored riad in a great location in the medina with fantastic views over the city. We stayed in the Amira Suite for two nights. It was a beautiful room although having to climb steep steps to reach the huge bathroom each time became a bit trying. There is also a private staircase up to the fantastic rooftop terrace although the terrace itself is shared by everybody. Both breakfast and dinner were absolutely lovely. There is also a fantastic restaurant called Ishq within walking distance which we couldn’t recommend highly enough.
Negatives: No tea or coffee-making facilities, very low water pressure in the shower, the pool area remained mostly in the shade (in April). However, the worst was two French families staying downstairs whose children (five of them between the ages of 3 – 7) were completely out of control. There was ear-piercing screaming and squealing with one of the kids having a loud whistle on which he blew constantly. This went on all afternoon, evening and the following morning with the noise being amplified by the tiled courtyard. The parents simply sat outside by the pool chatting, drinking wine and scrolling through their mobile phones as if it had nothing to do with them. Staff were too polite or timid to address the situation. Unfortunately, this experience slightly spoiled our otherwise perfect stay. Surely staff should make sure that all guests show a bit of consideration to each other."
"The room was up on the roof terrace level, requiring climbing about 48 steep, uneven steps. However this is the case of every riad in Morocco! The staff carried our luggage up and down the stairs which was a tremendous relief.
Breakfast was the usual riad fare and filling, though more fresh fruit would have been nice.
There are plenty of restaurant options nearby.
The riad is inside the walls of the Medina, yet very close to the entry parking lot, so getting to transportation was easy.
Would definitely stay there again. "
"Beautiful Riad, little hard to find inside the Medina. Just call them when you reach in front of the blue gate and they can direct you, google map doesn’t work inside the Medina. Breakfast was okay, I did the hammam which was good. All the staff were very welcoming. "
"Dar Drissi is lovely. The location is great.
We had the family room which has one king bed and 3 singles. An en-suite, large bathroom and a balcony sitting area that looks over the fountain in the main area below. The terrace on the roof is incredible and the breakfast scrumptious. We also had their home cooked dinner was large and delicious.
We highly recommend Dar Drissi for your stay in Fes. "
"The view from the glass suite was spectacular with a view of the fortress and the riads bar and inner courtyard. Dinners in the glass dining room facing the nord fort were great and watching sunset was a pleasure"
