"I stayed in the camper (room 7,5) for three nights. It's such a nicely decorated place that brings you back to the past. There is a tape recorder, but there were no tapes to listen to. That was probably the only thing that I missed, but I found a tape by R.E.M at the music store in Wakefield and left it for next guests to listen to :)
The bed sleeps really well and I enjoyed some of the food and drinks from the mini bar, since I didn't bring anything to eat on the day of arrival. The café/restaurant is only opened from Thursdays to Sundays, but there is a microwave and a fridge to store your own food.
Nobody's probably going to a motel without a car, but in case you do: the blue busses from transcollins can take you to the motel. There are only a few options in the (early) morning and you need to pay in cash, but it worked out fine. The timetables on Google Maps were very accurate.
When staying at Motel Chelsea, be sure to visit the town of Wakefield. 30 minutes by bike up the river or a lovely 2 hour hike if you don't happen to have a car."
