"Quaint hotel in the centre of town. Good location for the castle and walks.. My room was in the main building. Room was a bit dated but clean and tidy with a proper walk in shower (a must for me) that was pretty decent for an old building. I didn’t have breakfast. Reception staff were friendly and helpful."

"WiFi is awful! It’s just really poor but free so everyone is using a system not able to cope.Also, disabled parking spaces were blocked off with building work so parking was harder than it should have been. Breakfast was very good and staff in the restaurant each take a station and were really on it all the time so nothing ran empty and everything was hot and fresh and there were no delays. The pool was nice but the jacuzzi is colder than it should be and was fed with cold water."

"Very spacious ground floor room with very clean walk in shower and bowl and mat for our dog. The food was good both evening and the breakfast was fresh and cooked to order. Very reasonable price - would go again. Parking nearby is a bit confusing currently as signs say the car park is suspended but people are using it and the machines all work."

"Booked here for my son’s wedding unfortunately can’t say it all ran smoothly. Firstly we were constantly waiting to be served both in the bars and for breakfast, the only excuse they gave us was they were short staffed not what you want to hear when you’re spending a lot of money on a wedding. Overall the wedding went well and was well organised."
