Quiet, peaceful, relaxing. Must travel about 15 miles to nearest town. All the basics in kitchen. Bring a few groceries and you won't need to leave your cabin at all.

Our stay exceeded expectations! Staff greeted us warmly & was helpful. As for our accommodations - immaculate, beautiful, and thoughtfully appointed. We even considered canceling our dinner reservations to stay in! This is the perfect place to get away from the noise and busyness of the world. I highly recommend and we will be back in the fall for hiking and unwinding.

I read the reviews calling this a hidden gem and I have to agree. Everything about the stay was a pleasure. We were greeted when we arrived and promptly checked in. Once we saw our cabin, we were smiling from ear to ear. Everything was clean, the decor was homey even with the viking theme (I could do without the pelts on the wall but that's personal preference) and even a cozy fireplace (for our winter visit). All in all we were fully satisfied and we'd love to come stay again. Highly recommended!

Perfect accommodation. Rare combo of rustic feel and both clean and dry. Beds just how we like it. Kitchen very well equipped. Perfect for 4 people. Nice bathroom. Hot shower. Grounds perfectly described as Viking village. Staff very welcoming. Nice fire at the fire pit and the sheep are sure to be a hit with the little ones. Would love to go back when a little less snow to explore the Hiking trails and spend a little more time outside

Staying at this resort was such a treat. We stayed just one night on our New England road trip but I wish we could have stayed longer. We visited with our 3 How To Train Your Dragon and Thor loving boys—but this hotel is so much more than a fun place for kids. While it’s great for families the attention to detail and elegance of the rooms makes it a luxurious stay for adults too. There was no detail overlooked from the fun things like dragon towel hooks to multiple nightlights along the staircase for safety. The other thing I really appreciated was the commitment to clean products used in the cabins. While it wasn’t obviously stated anywhere, the products in the cabins were all eco friendly and fragrance free. The cabins also didn’t smell like any cleaning products or fragrance—which I love not only as an asthmatic, but because I knew it was truly clean, not just covered in perfume. I wish we lived closer and could stay here again!
