"We stayed overnight here out of curiosity because I was interested in the history of the building. My daughter lives very close by so we were curious to see what it was like. It is quite stunning, once inside the building has been well preserved, lots of wood panelling and interesting decor. Our room, the presidential suite was comfortable and large with an enormous bed. It was a very hot night but they’d left us a fan and while the heatwave is on we travel with another fan just in case. The only real negative was the internet wasn’t working the whole time we were there and we had literally no signal in the room. I’d stay again as it’s so convenient, breakfast was in the large dining room which was such a cool space! I think if you’re a fan of history (or perhaps Dr Who) it’s a good location."
