"The host never responded to any communications. I tried calling, SMS, email and hotel.com chat. The agent also tried to contact them unsuccessfully. I had to wait until 4pm on the day of arrival before the agent agreed to re-book. After that I then had to wait for hotels.com to respond. Gave up and asked for a refund. These people will leave you oit of pocket, on the street, in the dark. Dangerous and unethical practice especially for lone female travellers."

"The property is situated in a great part of Southsea, you can get to the beach relatively quickly and there are plenty of attractions around. The property itself is in need of a spruce up and a thorough deep clean, it feels a bit tired throughout. Our children were wearing light coloured socks and due to the hard floors not being cleaned properly, they were all filthy when we left. "The hotel and the grounds were stunning. Every single member of staff (I talk to everyone) was wonderful; so helpful and friendly. The outdoor heated pool was delightful. No air con or fan in the room wasn’t great but the windows did open wide so that helped, although we were on the ground floor and by the road so cars going past was a bit noisy. Noise from the rooms upstairs was a lot. But, overall, our stay was really lovely and I’d definitely stay again. "
