"The staff were very friendly and welcoming, especially the young man at reception during check-in and the breakfast restaurant manager. However, the overall experience was average. The room for two was quite small and rather dark, although it was clean and nicely maintained. The bathroom is in the typical Malaysian style, so after showering the whole floor becomes wet. A floor squeegee would really help. The towels had visible stains, which was disappointing. In the restaurant, many of the chair covers were stained. Breakfast options were limited for a European guest – mostly toast and beans. I tried some of the local dishes, but they felt too heavy for breakfast. On a positive note, the samosas and spring rolls were very good. Overall, it was an okay stay, but there is room for improvement. "

"A simple decent room. Place is cold and humid so coild.see black spots (mould) near basin area. Not sure what to do because it is the highlands. Maybe use dehumidifiers? Service is above average. Can visit again."

"EXTREMELY DIRTY. ITS FILTHY. I PROMISE YOU ITS NOT WORTH IT. THE TOWELS ARE FILTHY. THE BATHROOM IS GROSS. THERE ARE BUGS ON THE WINDOWS. THE TOILET DOESNY WORK. THE BATHROOM IS WET. The owner is very nice and understands that his place is a budget hotel. Regardless, I am a budget traveler but this is just atrocious. "

"Our stay at Nova Hotel was extremely disappointing. The room was unclean, with a strong, unpleasant smell and visible mould on the walls and ceiling. The mould was so severe that our child developed a bad cough during our stay — It was an unhealthy and distressing environment for a family. This was truly a terrible and unprecedented experience. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, especially those traveling with children or anyone with health concerns. Basic cleanliness and safety should never be compromised. Very disappointed that this was even listed on a platform like Expedia."

"I had booked two rooms but they only had one room. The fabric and furniture and furnishings were very poor. Bath towels were very old and brown with age. No coffee making facilities, television not working Windows not able to close. No controls in room for the aircondition. Only positive thing was the first receptionist was very apologetic and helpful but everything was out of her control. Certainly wouldn’t recommend any one staying there"

"Great location with good scenery. Staff are both attentive and friendly. Place is a bit old, should consider cleaning the patio by the restaurant as it was dirty and slippery. We availed the breakfast and it was very good. I’ll recommend this place for anyone who considers it. "
