"We have stayed at this property many times, with different owners over the last 15 years. This most recent ownerships has updated the property with notable improvements. The room decor is newer and quite lovely. We appreciated the comfortable chairs on our deck that faced the water and the Newport bridge. The outdoor dining space is much improved, as well."
"GOOD: Clean facilities and they had the TVs showing the World Cup in the common areas!; the room was very comfortable! Quiet and as advertised.
NOT GOOD: unclear why they charge for parking (it’s a big lot and it’s not like there is street parking or other areas to park—you will have to pay to park there. It effectively increases $ per room if you drive there). Though it’s common for many hotels, we were not told a hold would be added to our credit card (we had to ask when we noticed the difference in price between the charge and the invoice). The restaurant’s food was not great. The arugula in our salad was not washed and it was old and yellow; the steak frites wasn’t but a chunk of meat. The fries were the only decent portion of the meal."
"Clean room and friendly staff. Shuttle was great to get you downtown and enjoy the waterfront. Fun lobby and bar area to sit and socialize. Less than optimal features include: The building was cut up with a few stairs in between each wings, so it wasn’t handicapped accessible. Additionally, you couldn’t use a cart to get luggage to and from your room. The room was clean but lacked a few standard amenities, i.e., it didn’t have a closet or iron, and the refrigerator was warm. However the price was very reasonable and the benefits outweighed any disadvantages."
"Good location, connect to the malls and close to the trail station walkable distance without luggage:) very clean, The front desk staff were professional and followed standard procedures, but the service felt routine and lacked warmth or genuine hospitality."
"The room and hotel were great! Our only complaint was the noise. We could hear music from a nearby bar (maybe the hotels bar) throughout our stay and you could easily hear anyone that was in the hallway. But overall a great stay and we would definitely stay here again."
"Soccer teams from Ghana and Morocco were also at the hotel and the excitement was palpable! The location was great and the view from our windows was pretty. On the negative side: the garage was not that close so hauling luggage was not that easy, the restaurant was difficult to find, and the hotel has known better days."
