This was a very nicely presented house. Comfortable beds lovely living room nice garden. However, on our arrival we noticed the thermostat was broken and the heat was stuck on constant. None of the radiators have individual dials to control the heat and the house runs on an old-fashioned immersion heater. We were very cold and uncomfortable for the first night. We contacted the host who knew very little about the house but arranged for an engineer to visit the following. who knew very little about the house but arranged for an engineer to visit the following morning. The engineer fixed the thermostat but in doing so reset all of the schedule timers for heating the water. This is something we didn’t discover until the following morning when we were trying to have showers. The water ran cold after just a couple of minutes and no one could wash. I called the host again who took two hours to reply to my call by which time we had to check out. There is a welcome pack that describes how to use the heating but not how to control the water temperature. I made the complaint to the host who have denied any problems and have refused to refund any of my money. I would avoid visiting this property.
