"A lovely 3 night stay at this very English Hotel. It is a very old building so don't expect everything to be 100%, there will always be maintenance required. We stayed in The Orchard Room (Room 21) and it was plenty big enough for 2 of us and with all the extras we could use - Canned drinking water, choice of Teas, coffee, Biscuits plenty of Hot Water, good quality hand lotion, soaps and shampoo. The room faced the car park inland but was quiet and we slept soundly. It's an easy walk to the beachfront for a stroll, don't expect sand it's all pebbles or large rocks. Views across the Solent to the Isle of Wight and the Needles.
The only thing to be aware of is that there is no lift to any floors, you will need to carry your cases, but as stated it is an old building. All staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast choices were excellent and served freshly cooked."
