"We were looking for something last minute after an 11hour drive. The hotel has far exceeded our expectations. The pictures looked ok, but in reality this place is so much nicer. Really beautifully designed interior whilst respecting the heritage of the building, excellent bar, very friendly staff. All of this right on the doorstep of a national park with a lake to swim in. "This is a pub. You can't arrive or check in early because they aren't open, but it's not a problem once you're checked in. There’s no kettle in the room but the breakfast is good and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The location is excellent opposite the station and close to bus station and town centre."
