"Checking in for really hard. I was late for the check-in for which I was charged $20 in cash. There was no mention of anything like late fee of $20 in the booking. I didn’t had cash so I had to wait for a long time and walk around with person helping me check-in before I enter at the midnight. "Great staff, made check-in smooth and helped with questions about transportation to the inner city. With a 48h transport pass we were able to easily travel from the hotel to every location in venice we wanted to visit within an hour. Room was clean and breakfast was serviceable."

"The hotel is located close to the train station with regular and great value trains straight into Venice. Our room overlooked the train station but this did not affect our stay. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful, assisting swiftly with any requests. The room was clean and well presented with a useful small kitchen area. Only 2 niggles - the bed was very firm and the room door needed to slammed to ensure it was shut. A decent breakfast room but it would really benefit from a proper bar area and an outdoor seating area. Trying to get a cup of English breakfast tea seemed like Mission Impossible at local bars or coffee shops but the helpful reception staff understood our simple needs and seemed to have an endless free supply. Based on price, location, standards and the staff I would return and recommend Staycity."

"The hotel was in a great location which made it easy to get around. The staff was helpful and very kind. Our room was a journey away and the room was a bit musty. It was clean, not sure they can get rid of that smell though. The bed needed updating. The breakfast had really good choices and was enjoyable. We would stay there again."
