Great location. Really comfy and nice to sit on the sunny terrace for breakfast. A fridge for food and free coffee in the lobby. Definitely to be recommended.

The Am Schloss guest house was a very nice small hotel along the old Via Centrale shopping district in Brunico. The host was kind enough to be available to let us in at 830pm when we arrived. The trick of dropping of the luggage nearby, then getting into the hotel with the luggage, then parking the car took some logistics. Hint: Click on the option 2 for parking in the text he sends you, then park at the Red location arrow - NOT at the end point Google maps tries to show you. The room is large and the windows overlook the Via Centrale. We Strongly recommend you try the Zum Goldenen Lowen Restaurant (upstairs) from it's bar/pizzaria) about 4 or 5 doors west of the hotel. The bed was two twins = a king with good pillows. There was a desk and a nice big couch. There was a coffee machine on the 3rd floor common area and a large refrigerator (but not freezer) you can put items in. The shower was the largest we had in Italy (not saying much) and had good water temperature and decent pressure.

Unser Aufenthalt in Bruneck war insgesamt sehr gelungen. Leider gab es jedoch einen Punkt, der unseren Eindruck deutlich getrübt hat. Ich weiß nicht, mit welcher Wäscherei die Unterkunft zusammenarbeitet, aber sowohl die Bettwäsche als auch vor allem die Handtücher hatten leider durchgehend einen sehr unangenehmen, muffigen Geruch. Alles wirkte sauber, dennoch war der Geruch wirklich störend. Es ist nicht besonders angenehm, sich mit einem muffig riechenden Handtuch das Gesicht abzutrocknen – und ebenso wenig angenehm ist es, auf Kissen zu schlafen, die diesen Geruch haben. Das ist sehr schade, weil der Aufenthalt ansonsten schön war. Hier wäre aus unserer Sicht eine Überprüfung der Wäsche beziehungsweise der Wäscherei wirklich empfehlenswert.
