While the location of the flat was ideal it did not have AC, it was no more than a studio apt, and was not a great choice for a family with kids. It was great to be so close to the Gand Place and that made things easier. The place was too cramped for a family of four. There was a duvet and no intervening sheet (other than the one covering the bed). It made us wonder if the duvet ever was cleaned etc and that was unpleasant to think about. The stairs and hallway to the flat was pitch black and we wished that we had instructions on how to find the light switch, and a warning that the hallway light was motion sensitive. The stairs to the apt were winding and not ideal to bring up 4 pieces of luggage in the dark. There was an elevator though it was not working. Not sure why. The area is pretty central so we were not surprised lots of empty bottles and cups and even some vomit just outside of the front door of the bldg. Anyway, we wished that he had stayed at a hotel with AC and other predictable amenities.
