"Clean, comfortable, has a small pool that I didn't use, friendly staff and accomodating on check in to get me on the first floor. Good continental breakfast. Only thing I don't like and it wasnt just this hotel, is how the air condtioner blows right on you when on the bed and the vent isn't adjustable. Overall I'd stay there again. "

"Nice comfortable room lake front with a small balcony. Free continental breakfast. Walking distance to downtown mackinaw city and the ferry to the island. Perfect for our quick stop. Very cool town. "

"All tho the cleanliness was a slight issue for us in the bathroom and the bed was not very comfy our overall stay was good. Great if ur comparing it to the price you pay. It was awesome having a mini water park there but heads up the slides are closed and not in working condition. "

"Clean and comfortable. Good breakfast options in morning. Just a very quick drive down the hill to the beach and downtown Petoskey. Didn’t wake up with a backache, which is good. Big tv. Good size fridge and microwave in room nice hot shower. Pool was nice after a VERY hot day. Decent price "

"This “little hotel” is BIG on cleanliness, comfort, coziness & charm—like staying at a friend’s cool apartment. Our room had a king-sized bed with a sweet, soft quilted coverlet, & plenty of substantial pillows to prop up against the beautiful padded headboard. The muted blue hues, unique fish-patterned wallpaper & wall art, along with all the attractive & different accent pieces suggest an aquatic/island setting, very soothing to our tired bones after a long day’s drive. Our room was spotless, spacious, had all the amenities one could wish for. The shower with its just-right pressure included pleasant smelling shampoo/conditioner/body wash from convenient pumps affixed to the wall. The outside though well maintained is testament to its age, but the inside is a pleasant surprise. If we ever come this way again we will definitely stay here & will recommend it to friends & family. My ONLY complaint, really more of a concern, is that a tiny corner of the laminate flooring by the desk area (the desk is a pleasant departure from the usual hotel desk) sticks up & is somewhat sharp, something that management should address. I give the Bay Inn five stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"

"This is a great location for the ferry over to Mackinac Island. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and looked taken care of but its definitely an older facility. "
