"The facilities beautiful, the room is the nicest I have seen, the locations great BUT, when I arrived to check in the receptionist ignored us, we were the only ones there, finally we asked if we could check in and she barely spoke and was very dismissive, I asked her if she had a street map she just pointed at a pile of maps on the counter, I felt very unwanted and it was a terrible first impression. They have a lovely bar with a piano player that was wonderful and my only other negative is the restaurant which is up the hill in a separate building is closed on Tuesdays so we had to find a breakfast restaurant. "

"Very cute hotel, right next to downtown area so we were able to walk to town each day. Parking lot available right there as well. Only 7 mins from Acadia! So convenient. Nice spacious room as well! We had a private door with a little balcony as well. "

"This is a true “old” Maine experience. The young, energetic staff greeted us with a warm welcome and continually checked to make sure our needs were met. The rooms were decorated in nautical themes. They were not large but well proportioned. Th bed was fantastic. The bed linens and bath towels were excellent and EVERYTHING was spotless. It was such a nice change from commercial properties. We had a relaxing and enjoyable stay. We high,y recommend this lovely inn. "
