The Movenpick is well-located in the magnificent, beautiful and brilliant city of Budapest. I’d firstly like to say a huge thank you to the staff for a wonderful stay. The tram and metro station are very closeby (pro tip: be VERY CAREFUL with your tickets), but if you want to walk to the many attractions and sites in Budapest - I walked 65km in 2.5 days - the strolls through the city are lovely, especially if you have great weather like I did. Budapest’s architecture is simply astonishing. As for the hotel, it has a pretty lobby area which is very welcoming and is modern and well-decorated. - The staff: All staff were superb; helpful, polite and friendly. Delightful. - Housekeeping: Terrific - every day. - The room: Spacious and quiet. The bathroom is amazing. The main room is very nice, and the bed is comfortable. The rooms may need refreshing soon, but they’re clean and well-appointed. - Breakfast: Lots of fresh options for a vegan like me. The grilled veggies are delicious! - Gym: Not brilliant. Just dumbbells up to 10kg, a bench, a spin bike that needs servicing and a treadmill. There’s a small stretch area. As a PT and spin class instructor I’m fussy and I know it’s a small space; but I think a few more free weights would really help. However, with some creativity I had some great workouts so this isn’t a criticism. Overall, the Movenpick fully deserves its four stars and is well worth recommending if you visit this stunning city. Excellent.
