"Well maintained and characteristic property with exposed beams and period features combined with modern decor and facilities. The only thing to be aware of is there is no shower in either bathroom (likely due to low ceilings), although both have a mixer tap with a showerhead so you can sit / kneel and shower this way. 7. Pen Y Banc

Builth Wells

"Great location, very friendly and helpful owner (Steve), excellent facilities and very comfortable holiday home ….with 7 days of 20+ temperatures and wall to wall sunshine ! …only very slight negative being that the windows could prob do with a better clean given the great views. Steve’s recommendation of the Seven Stars at Aberedw about 2 miles away was also excellent…nothing fancy about the food but very tasty, good portions and a really nice environment in a community owned country pub."

Top Builth Wells Hotel Reviews

The Castle of Brecon Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"This a recently refurbished hotel with wonderful facilities and first rate food and decor."

The Lion Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"We had problems with our dog. It demanded my wife sleep in the car with the dog. The staff were excellent and genuinely concerned. They provided food and a hot drink later in the evening for her without prompting. The restaurant food was one of the most tasty meals I have had in years. Excellent room and restaurant service."

Wellington

10/10 Excellent

"The Hotel is nice if a little bit dated in places. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was nice and good value and it is in a great location for exploring the town and the Brecon Beacons national park. We paid £47 for a Sunday night which was exceptional value. At this price, you can overlook the hotel being a little tired in places."

The Radnorshire Arms Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"An old building with historic interest situated in a town with many interesting old building which is well worth a walk around. The staff were friendly and helpful. Evening meals and Sunday carvery were tasty and specials were explained. A thing to note is that there is no lift so mobility needs to be good to walk up stairs which was not a problem for us. Enjoyed our stay here and will be back next year as still much more to explore in the ares"
