"First time staying at a hotel in the Akron area and this was not bad at all. Close to lots of shopping and places to eat, just watch out cause traffic is heavy on the main drag, route 18. Was offered a choice of room location so I chose upstairs so I wouldn't have to hear thumping on the floor above me if I chose the ground floor. It was a bit noisy at first cause of people visiting others who where staying at the hotel, but by the time I went to sleep it was nice and quiet. They do offer breakfast and coffee in the morning from 6-9."
"I've stayed here many times over the last 20 years visiting family, but this will be the last. It's gone downhill a bit the last few years - maintenance, cleanliness - but this time was the worst. We booked a King room. The first room we were given smelled of smoke. I asked for a different King room - instead was offered two smaller beds, air freshener, etc. When I threatened a bad review, the clerk finally relented and gave me "their best room", a suite with kitchen facilities. This room was OK, but I was quite surprised to find a pair of shoes that had been left in the room - and not noticed by housekeeping - the same folks who left the first room smelling like smoke and left piles of garbage outside many of the rooms. It was like an obstacle course walking down the halls. Then there was breakfast. The breakfast area was filthy - food all over the floor, spilled liquids on tables - and the person at the front desk was the least interested hotel employee I have ever seen. The drink machine didn't work, the waffle maker was out of batter, there were no forks, and the piece de resistance, no napkins. When I asked if he could get some napkins, he said they were out and I should get some TP from the men's room. Seriously???
We've stayed here for the last time. It's been swell, but it's definitely time to move on."
"We roadtrip everywhere. This is by far the best place we have stayed. The staff were incredibly friendly. There was lady who did the breakfast and it felt like grandma serving it. She was the best. The nicest people, seriously."
