Great find

Do visit this lovely b & b , it’s outstanding in a beautiful area , peaceful and picturesque . You with be made to feel very welcome by Michael and Christine they are great hosts. Do book you will not be disappointed .

We came over from Ireland to attend a wedding so with that I had to find a nice B&B near the wedding venue. I searched through B&B websites, Drinkstone Park Bed & Breakfast and Gardens stud out from the rest especially when I spotted Teegan and Geroge (beautiful dogs) in their website. Prior to leaving Ireland and not knowing the area, I emailed Michael and Christine to help us find a reasonable Pub Grub restaurant to meet friends and they suggested a lovely place to eat so even before I had met them they were so helpful. Drinkstone's B&B choices for breakfast was unbelievable, it took me ages to choose. At breakfast we had such craic (Irish for fun). Christine is the best cook! Michael is an entertainer (I think he does help out sometimes). Our stay was short but we will go back for a longer stay as it was like a retreat walking through their beautiful gardens, so private and tranquil. It was the best Bed and Breakfast we ever stayed in, actually better than a hotel. Thanks Christine and Michael for making our stay a delight. Monica and Kevin.

Dwarfed by the garden plants!

Fabulous location - on a quiet lane not too far from A14. Our hosts were friendly, helpful, amusing and interesting! Our room was spacious and we enjoyed the little "extras" that appeared each day - like chocolates on the pillow The garden was amazing and we were allowed to wander freely, admire or just sit and look at the view. Everything was growing wonderfully and every plant and shrub was thriving. We felt quite dwarfed by all the growth. The breakfast menu indoors was splendid and wonderfully cooked and prepared. We enjoyed home produced fruit and eggs. We would thoroughly recommend Drinkstone Park

Splendid gardens

Very pleasant stay. I was well looked after. The room was comfortable and very clean.The owners could not have been more helpful. I wold be very happy to go to Drinkstone again.

Gardener’s Paradise

We booked our room giving our hosts 10 minutes notice at 9pm on a Friday evening. We were warmly welcomed and offered a cup of tea as soon as we arrived. Breakfast was brilliant and nothing was too much trouble. The gardens are fabulous and we were encouraged to go and explore. We will definitely return later in the year to see the garden in it’s autumn colours. A real home from home!

The hosts went out of their way to make my stay comfortable and friendly. The gardens are worth a visit even if you do not need a bed for the night and very up lifting. Thank you !

Couldn't fault it!!

Extremely friendly owners (Michael & Christine). Accommodation was spotless and set in beautiful surroundings. Breakfast was lovely (smoked salmon and scrambled eggs) and served in lovely big kitchen diner.

We were helping our daugter and her husband and 2 young boys move in to a new house down near Long Melford, so with our previous experience of Drinkstone Park B&B, it was the obvious choice to stay there. As before, even though it was nearing Christmas, we were met with the same courteous attention we experienced on our first visit earlier in the year. Christine and Michael just made it a wonderful 'break' - we would not have dreamed of staying anywhere else.

Mary Poppins.... practically perfect in every way

There is not a single thing to fault at Drinkstone, the place and the people are amazing. It is like a little home from home. Breakfast is perfect, the rooms are lovely as is the atmosphere! I spend a lot of time away from and home and in hotels/B&B's and this is by far the best I have ever been in with its wonderful homely feel. If Michael gives you a meal suggestion TAKE IT as he will never steer you wrong. I have already booked my next stay but would come back every week if I could and I will definitely be back for pleasure rather than business at some point in the near future.

A hidden gem! Lovely welcome, beautiful B&B with lots of little touches, great breakfast menu and beautiful gardens that are well worth a wander. This was for a business trip but hope to return on leisure. Excellent value for money

Tranquil setting for relaxing getaway!

We stayed at Drinkstone Park for 3 nights. Michael and Christine were wonderful hosts. Communication excellent... regarding our arrival time and the kettle on the boil with afternoon tea ready when we touched down. Apart from our room with en-suite, there is a lovely spacious reception room with comfortable sofas in which to relax. The breakfast menu was extensive... delicious home cooking served in a dining area with an outlook to the lovely garden. Other guests we met had returned to Drinkstone time and time again... a home away from home! Our hosts were very helpful regarding information re our daily excursions... Sandringham Castle & Cambridge & nearby Bury St Edmunds. Drinkstone Park is in a tranquil country setting and ideal for a short relaxing getaway or as a base to explore surrounding attractions. Highly recommend.

if you want peace and quite this is the place .

warm welcome from Susan with a cup of tea & cake .this is a beautiful home ,on the ground floor with a small patio . The grounds to this b/b are out of this world.

Fabulous country retreat

Peace and quite was what we were looking for and that is exactly what we found. Michael and Christine were fantastic hosts and managed to create our ideal break away using their beautiful home as a base from which to explore. We cannot thank them enough. Having never visited the county of Suffolk before we were soon wondering why not! With a wealth of history and interesting places to visit, Suffolk has something to offer all ages and tastes in holiday entertainment.

A country getaway!

Very welcoming. The homemade scones on arrival were superb. Great choice in menu for breakfast. Beautiful garden, quite and relaxing stay. Great to see the English countryside. Highly recommend!

Perfect B&B

Garden Room was perfect for me, quiet & very comfortable. It was a shame that I was unable to use the outdoor patio but it would be lovely in better weather. High quality bedding & towels. Cream tea offered on arrival & could not fault breakfast with home made preserves. I wish I had longer than one night & I would definitely like to stay here if I am in the area on business again.

The best place

Just what you need. It’s simply a perfect 10. And I don’t give 10’s, ever! Homely, hospitable, attention to detail, outstanding. Stay here, if you are close stay here, even if you are not close, find a reason and stay here. Can’t wait to go back.

What can I say? Excellence speaks for itself. Great stay. I slept like a baby in the quiet, clean, comfortable and spacious peach room. Brilliant value for money and breakfast was an absolute delight. I definitely Intend to stay again!!!

Drinkstone Park - A hidden gem

I almost booked another B & B in the Bury St Edmunds area which would have been perfectly adequate, but I was in that "find the best place available" mood and when I eventually found the and read the detailed description of Drinkstone Park B & B it certainly did seem to offer all that we were looking for. The experience of staying at this lovely place did not disappoint! The room was lovely, comfortable and very tasteful and the cooked breakfast was beautifully presented and tasted absolutely delicious! The hosts were very welcoming and friendly and we will be staying there on a regular basis Brian
