We loved that the hotel was located a little outside of Ella proper, which allowed for connection with the beautiful environment and scenery while still being convenient to the amenities of the main town. "I have stayed in many hotels around the world and Wishing Tree Boutique and Resort ranks right at the top. The views are unreal and impossible to recreate. Waking up to that scenery alone makes the stay special. The staff are outstanding. Warm, welcoming and genuinely happy. Service was spot on throughout, attentive when needed but never intrusive. "La Pentera is a new property which has a unique concept of a tree house. The property is quite far from the Udawalawe National Park - about 30 km or so. The directions are also unclear, even if you use googlemaps. The property is new and in great condition. However, there are things that could be better, especially the food. The bathroom has hot water though there is some water leakage. A great experience stay but could be better."

"Yala Safari Camping is such an incredible & unique experience. The tents are so nice, the staff is beyond incredible. I stayed as a solo female traveler back in December and I felt so safe and taken care of. They help coordinate two safaris for me during my stay. The wifi wasn’t working while I was there so they gave me a hotspot to borrow while I was staying so I could keep up with work calls and emails. "
