The property is old and basic but very clean and close to the main strip and beach. It's exactly what I expected for the rate per night and I would happily stay there again.

Great location and super friendly staff/owners Property is in urgent need of gutting and updating. There was an overpowering smell of pest control chemicals, and the decor was a flashback to the early 90s.

Really close to town.
Really close to the main streets being only a short walk away. Easy to find and park the car. Helpful and friendly service. The place looked fairly old but must have been refurbed fairly recently. Room was comfortable and well presented. Bathroom was a bit dated though and the shower wasn’t too great as there was little water pressure and couldn’t find a happy medium between too hot or too cold.

Pleasantly surprised - Great room and location
Had a last minute business trip Byron and booked the Byron Motor Lodge Motel purely on price. Was so pleasantly surprised. The rooms were very spacious and exceptionally clean. Close to all the eateries - 5 minute walk tops! Will certainly stay there again on my next trip.

Great location, for easy access to town
This was a very reasonably priced place, so weren’t expecting anything special. Overall, it seemed quite dated, but it had everything you needed. The welcome was great and it was very handy for town, just a couple of minutes walk.

Worst experience ever
We had a really BAD experience in this hotel. The staff was very, very unfriendly. On our last day we had to check out at 10 am. Unfortunately we were late because our trip was delayed. So we called the receptionist we will come a bit too late. As we came back to our hotel, our whole stuff (it was not packed already!! it was all our personal staff!) was put out from our room and was put on the floor at the front door of the reception. they took all our personal things (underwear, cosmetics, etc.) AND in addition they took 60$ from our credit card, although they gained access to our room!! That’s not okay!! Furthermore the manager of the hotel was very unfriendly and told us it’s our fault and he can do with his hotel what he wants. Never book this hotel again!!!!

This property is not a Sheraton or Hilton. Potential guests should not expect this. This is a budget motor lodge, needing a complete renovation, with an unbelievably fantastic location. You couldn’t sleep any closer to the heart of Byron Bay. The units/rooms are clean and reasonable - however, toilets & showers need urgent replacing. Mattresses and sheets are perfect & comfortable. A smart business man/woman could see the potential in this place, make the current owner an offer they can’t refuse and bring this little gem in the rough, out of the 70’s. Due to it’s location - it would be then worth a fortune.

Old style retro motel, but has everything you need, great aircon and a ceiling fan, and if your like me and like a fan while sleeping then this is a welcome addition most modern hotels don’t have. The location is perfect. The entire town is with in 5 mins walk. The beach is close by and considering parking is $4 per hour and almost nonexistent, being close to town is must. The beds are comfortable. This is an old style hotel and if you don’t need the Hilton to enjoy your stay I highly recommend this motel.

There was nothing misleading about the property on the website. It is only a 3 star property. I did feel it was very over priced, but given the short notice of booking we didn't have a lot of choices. It was very central and within walking distance to everything, but that also meant that at night it was very noisy, with music going most nights. It was across the road from the market, so that was a plus. The double bed wasn't the best. Shower was good.

Hi Michelle Firstly you blamed the booking company for booking you the wrong dates when you arrived at the motel a week early. Now it appears you are holding the motel responsible for this. We're sorry you feel this way, we accommodated you with a room at short notice with discount, you still utilised the date you booked for. It would pay to read terms and conditions in the future

Motel in great location. Room spacious and very clean. Manager and managers family suscpiscious of more than the max number of people staying the night- watching and following us both inside and outside the motel, repeatedly question our intentions for example wanting individual names of guests who were staying. Very intimidating and made the stay feel overall very uncomfortable.

Room 4. Clean spacious room with comfortable queen bed, single bed, sofa, small fridge, toilet and shower ensuite. The bathroom is a little dated but functions well with a large mirror. I walked to the centre of where all the action is in Byron Bay in under five minutes, so having off street parking at the motel in front of your room saves you $. I didn't use the pool but it looked inviting. Byron markets are across the road every 1st Sunday of the calender month. Just a little noise from vehicle traffic at the roundabout in the evening. I enjoyed my stay and would return again.

Great location
This was a great little motel Close to the beach and the main strip. The only thing is it needs a little TLC when it comes to the furniture in the rooms. The staff/owners were awesome. They helped with our laundry which was nice that way we didn't need to sit around waiting for it. They put it in the dryer then put the basket in our room. If i return to Byron Bay I will definitely stay again..
