"Great location. Elevator was not working more than it was working. Asked if I could give them my stamped postcards so the postcards could be put in with the regular hotel mail and was told, “not possible, we don’t do that” - and I am fluent in Portuguese. Have been to many countries and this was the first time I was told my stamped postcards couldn’t be included with normal hotel mail."

As we’re considering a move to Portugal ourselves, their insight into the process — the challenges, the rewards, and the local culture — was incredibly helpful and deeply appreciated. Ziv was always ready with great suggestions and recommendations for the area This is more than just a place to stay. It’s an experience. We left feeling inspired, well-fed, and extremely grateful. We can’t recommend it enough."

"Very pleasant, clean and low stress place to stay while hiking the caminho. A little off the caminho trail but there is a well maintained hike and bike path from the center of Valença that will take you right to Alma Candida. Breakfast is very good too. "
