"Very simple and pleasant place to stay. Our room and the whole facility we saw were impeccably clean. Beds were comfy. Room was comfortably warm (even tho it was howling outside with freezing rain pelting down in sheets!).
We would stay here again happily.
Additional note: I suspect Tullamore is overlooked as a town to stay and explore. It’s a cool *old* town that retains its character. Blue Eyes Bakery became a favorite spot for us. Excellent food/pastries. And absolutely *superb* coffee!"
"From check in to departure our experience was wonderful. I am my friend stayed overnight to celebrate our 70th birthdays. The staff were lovely, the room exceeded our expectations and our meal in the Stake House was out of this world. As I said from beginning to end we loved every moment. Have no hesitation in recommending"
"Perfect location for our brief stay in Portlaoise. Apartment met all of our needs and communications with the host ahead of check in were very informative. Will definitely look to rebook for future visits to Portlaoise."
"I have stayed at Tullamore Court quite a few times over the last 5 years. This year it was good, but a couple of things were annoying.
I paid for a late check-out until 2 pm and was snoozing when I got a knock on the door from housekeeping to clean the room! I explained I had a late check-out; the lady checked her list and apologised, but I was awake then and decided to leave at 1030 am- so a waste of money paying for that.
The breakfast: again, I paid for this, but it was not on their breakfast list, so it had to be checked with reception, whilst I waited around to get the OK to eat!
I definitely think they let themselves down this year and I wasted money."
"It's a decent place to stay. The staff is great. Just aging and so many little details in poor condition. And now this isn't the hotels fault per say but very noisy. Walls were paper thin and could hear other rooms talking and TV playing. Heater was on in my bathroom and the knob was broken so couldn't turn it off."
"Pleasant lounge
Made to feel welcome
Excellent breakfast - HOT cooked food home made scones. Not much nearby apart from a village pub with good food and Birr Castle"
