We stayed two nights and we had a very comfortable time. Our room was spacious. The property is well kept-better than many other historic hotels we’ve stayed at in the past. The breakfast was good and the snack selection in the bar was good. We didn’t eat a meal, but the nachos were delicious. The best thing about this place were the staff. Every person we talked to was friendly, helpful and efficient. A special shout out to Delwyn and Eryl for making our visit memorable.

If you’re looking for a historic experience while visiting the castle, you can’t get better than this Inn. It’s obviously been modernized, but eating downstairs has such a tavern feel to it. The portions are huge and the food is delicious especially the welsh pie and soups. Within the castle walls, you’ll have an array of local shops and pubs to frequent after touring the castle. Enjoy a walk along the water. As others have mentioned, there are stairs and it can be a bit of a maze to get to your room. I was worried but this actually did not bother me. As long as you can lift your suitcase up stairs, you’ll be fine.

Great weekend

Great location, fabulous food and friendly staff. Car park very tight for larger family vehicles and room was cold with no heating control staff quickly resolved the matter. Would definitely visit again in this historic inn.

Fantastic Hotel in Caernarfon!!!

This hotel is fantastic!! Built in 1522. It has three pubs and a great restaurant. It is located in the center of the old city. The staff at the hotel and people in Caernarfon were super friendly. We attended a wedding in Snowdonia, and this hotel was our base of operations for three days. We probably won't ever have an opportunity to return, but I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough!! Try the Welch Pie at the restaurant!!

They also own a building around the corner... thats where we lodged. Had to walk a couple blocks for breakfast. Quiet , convenient, and clean. Parking is orivided by the Pub but it's a 5 min walk uphill to the lidgings.
