"Very charming, historical, water front hotel with shopping and food within walking distance. The on-site restraunt and breakfast café were delicious. Loved seeing the history in pictures on the walls. If you're looking to step back in time and enjoy a slower pace this is the place and town. We enjoyed our stay and hope to be back."
"The hallway smelled like cigarettes and weed the whole time. We wanted to wash clothes, but there was not anywhere to get change for them and accepted quarters only. Hot breakfast was good. Staff were friendly. Housekeeping was on point. Tv kept going out and WiFi was hit or miss. Ceilings had big water stains. Bathroom floors had some loose tiles. I would stay again, but because of the smoke smell and repairs needed, that’s why I gave it a 4."
"Bad smell in room uncomfortable hard bed pillows didn't smell good. Room desperately needed updating terrible wall lights only no charging ports for phone. No breakfast to speak of, not even forks available, chairs were still on top of tables in breakfast room 2 hours after it was open. Won't stay there again."
"I stay here often for business. I have simple tastes and find the staff especially nice and friendly. The rooms are clean, efficient, and very econical. I enjoy my times here."
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Parkersburg East by IHG
8/10 Good
"Room was clean and beds were comfortable however the bathroom door would not latch closed so therefore could not lock. The hallways and elevators could have used a vacuum but weren’t horrible. Breakfast was decent enough and pool/hot tub were enjoyable, mostly. Not the hotels fault but there was a couple having a makeout session in the pool so my kids decided against getting in a second time. Overall not a bad stay for a short weekend visits to see family around town."
"It was just a one night stopover, so we didn’t spend much time. The room was clean and comfortable. It was very close to restaurants. I would stay there again if I made a trip requiring a stop in Marietta, OH"
