Es war sauber in den Zimmern, jedoch wurde der bereits zu Beginn dagewesene Vogelkot vor den Zimmern, während unseres viertägigen Aufenthalts, nicht entfernt. Die Besitzer sind sehr bemüht. "Definitely a very unusual and extremely interesting accommodation option. Staying in a largely intact former very significant monastery was, from a historical perspective, fascinating. We travel a lot and stay in many upscale hotels, but nothing quite like this. Highly recommended!"

"We were looking to enjoy the mountain views of a quiet, Italian country side. This place had it all! The beautiful soul who was governess of the estate- Amelia- cooked us a DIVINE breakfast and helped us feel so very welcome! Can’t possibly say enough about her talent! Five stars!"

"We had higher expectations - and I don’t mean luxury. This is a very basic property, lacking many amenities you’d expect in a 3* star rated property (e.g. tea making facilities in the room) and maintained with little attention to detail. We had two dinners in their restaurant, no menu or prices, you find out the bill at check out and let me tell you it’s MUCH higher than we had anticipated for the quality and service received. "We enjoyed our stay at this property. There was a mix up that they never received our reservation from Hotels.com. The staff was very accommodating & apologetic while we got everything sorted out. This place is right near Segesta and has beautiful views. We would definitely recommend it. Our only complaint was that the location is listed as pet friendly. We brought our dog with us. Marina di Petrolo Hotel & SPA

10/10 Excellent

"Recently back from a wonderful 10-night stay at this lovely hotel. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and were so fast to respond to questions on WhatsApp. They helped with numerous restaurant bookings, excursion information, organised airport transfers and directed us to the local Saturday market. Breakfast was a highlight of the day - the staff soon knew exactly what coffees we wanted each morning, the buffet was always full of freshly made savoury and sweet delights (try the pistachio cake!) topped off with an amazing sea view. The hotel's location is perfect - set back from the road, totally peaceful and quiet, but close enough to easily walk to all the restaurants and the port. The pool area, like the rest of the hotel, is very clean and well maintained with great views out across the coast. We usually managed to find a couple of free sunbeds and the lemon granita from the pool bar was fantastic - perfectly tangy and refreshing. Although it would have been handy to be able to get a snack for lunch at the hotel, it did mean we got a little more exercise on the short walk down the road. We highly recommend Gelateria Vernaci for amazing ice creams (loads of flavours, generous portions & great value - we went every day after discovering it!), Gusto for the best pizzas (went back on our last night it was so good), Arche for a lovely lunch (great arancini & granita), H80 Fame for delicious seafood and La Tonnara for a special dinner with lovely views of the marina."

"We stayed at Kunesias twice on our trip to Italy - at the beginning and end of our stay. The airport shuttle is convenient. It's €25 in the day and €30 at night. The staff was really helpful and kind when it came to giving us directions to get to Palermo and the check in both times went super smoothly. Rooms are renovated, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was also really good!"
