"Very nice hotel and spa with an excellent riverside location. The grounds are very nice and the rooms have excellent views of the Duoro river. The rooms and bathrooms are good and the breakfast was very good. The reception, bar and restaurant staff were very helpful and worked hard. The restaurant was OK but not exceptional. Overall, an excellent hotel."

But we are always especially impressed by the great staff, that is always available to help you with any needs you may have, and go the extra mile to make your stay meet your expectations (which is especially impressive considering the big number of great employees we had chance to be interacting with across last 2 years). It is our n.1 'go to' destination for rural break and Douro trips and events in the area with 4th visit behind us and definitely more to come!"
