"We had the best time at the Whale on Main! Communication was excellent, we were welcomed so warmly by the host (including a glass of Gluhwein!), and she even upgraded our room at no cost! Fantastic local recommendations, cute little honest bar, great reading options, and an OUTSTANDING breakfast cooked to order! Attention to detail was everywhere and we can't say enough about this place. It was just fantastic! Our only complaint is that we only stayed the one night. Thank you for everything! "A beautiful property in a great location overlooking the Cliff Path Walk that takes you directly to Hermanus. A view to die for. During whale season - you can see whales out in the bay from your room. Wonderful and gracious service. Excellent breakfast’s and spectacular art work throughout the property. Was everything we hoped for and more. The staff was great and arranged all our area activities. They were extremely knowledgeable and helpful. "

"Poor quality rooms. Bathroom doors are rotten and carpets are stained. Room 206 had a smell similar to a public hospital. The beds are soft and over used."
