"The staff was very friendly and helpful. My room did not seem to be very clean. There was some substance on the table in the room and I found change in the floor by the bed. The shower head was broken and did not work properly. The ice machine on the first floor was not working and the guest laundry did not work either. I stayed 2 nights and I could tell that housekeeping came and took the trash out but did not make the bed. The pool area and gym seemed to be in good shape although I did not use either of these. Good price but not well maintained."

"Step out of franchise and discover a 1910 brick built structure that has all the charm and details of an Abbeville historical treasure. The clean room included a quilt covered bed that was comfortable, and the room included refrigerator and microwave. The best part was continental breakfast on a lovely veranda. The site is its original center of downtown, so don’t expect gardens…but I was sad to leave the over-stuffed wicker chair and resume my trip home."

"Property could use a good overhaul. I initially went to the wrong room and the door frame was busted so the door wasn't even actually close shut. I pushed it open, the TV was on, and personal items on the furniture where the TV was sitting. Immediately I left because I knew someone was in that room (not at that moment, thankfully). The showers are awful, takes a while to get the water to come on and then sometimes hard to shut off. It could be cleaner. When you walk around on the floor in socks and they're filthy after it's a problem. Either they are not mopping every time or they are using a dirty mop. And maybe they realize it doesn't matter because it's the only hotel in town. But they need to take pride in the fact it is and make it nice for the paying customers."

"Our room ended up having bed bugs. When I brought this up to the gentleman at the front desk, he said “I’ll have a manager contact you after an investigation. You probably brought them from home.” Wouldn’t give me the managers number, and couldn’t, and wouldn’t discuss anything else. Very disappointed in this property. I travel quite often for work, and frequent Holiday Inn. I absolutely will not be returning to a HI in the future. "

"Overall, Pretty nice for an older hotel. It’s been beautifully renovated. Friendly staff. We didn’t try the bar or dinner at the restaurant. Breakfast selection was limited. The only disappointment was the room; hair in the shower and on the bathroom floor and the mattress topper was badly stained."

"This property was a horrendous place. Why would Expedia even allow this property on their system. I have been using this service for several years and I’m completely shocked they would even consider listing this place. When we arrived to the property with the gravel parking lot which is no big deal but there were people cooking on a fire on the ground. Not great but I understand trying to be economical. I stopped at the office and when I went inside the office was a complete wreck no one was there and the counter was covered in old receipts and other papers piled up and it was just badly cluttered. A young man came to the door and ask if I had a reservation. I said yrs he ask me to step outside and wait while he called is boss on a cell phone that the screen was so cracked he couldn’t see who he was dialing. I had a great deal of trouble understanding when talked. Because I have a very high level of sensitivity to tobacco smoke I had trouble standing close enough to him to carry on a conversation. After talking with Alice we decided to go somewhere else. The property did not look or feel safe. I had hoped to get a refund but I’m sure I will not. "
