"Love the fact the it was an older pub but the rooms were very up to date. Check in was fantastic and the gentleman was very nice and knowledgeable about the area . Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone"

"Nice hotel close to Athlone, with the lovely scenic view of Lough Ree. The room was good, doors looked a little dated but nothing wrong with them. There are newer rooms are the far end of the building so they may be slowly upgrading them. Pool was nice and wasn't busy. The jacuzzi could have been warmer, it was the same temperature as the pool. The food for dinner was nice but portions were quite small. We heard the table next to us ask the waitress "It that it?!" The fish & meat portions are too small for the money you are paying. You usually either need a starter or dessert, so maybe that's what they want you to do! Breakfast was good, plenty of choice and it was a served buffet so you could get what you wanted. Overall, a lovely hotel and would stay again."

"Such a lovely, classically Irish hotel! Staff were so nice and helpful, even on a busy Saturday night. Dinner in the hotel bar was amazing and the rooms were large and spotlessly clean! Breakfast was a buffet but for it to be included in the price was fantastic! Definitely will recommend to anyone who needs to stay in the area!"
