"There was a delay in checking in because there was no hostess. "Away for a minute!" Then I didn't realize the place had no elevators! So we had to get a main floor room with a king bed and a tub because I'm an amputee and in a wheelchair. After several minutes, they came up with a room for us. Well, it was on the main floor, just inside the door from my car; and there was the king bed and a tub! However, the bathroom was really small: hardly could get my wheelchair in to sit on the toilet! Oh, the toilet was from at least the 1970s: small with a small seat that was more than just loose, it almost threw me off when it slipped to side! Then, there was only one partial roll of toilet tissue! We ran out second (departure) day. Used box of facial tissue to finish job. Wait, I left out 2 big things: bed & dresser drawers were so close I couldn't get wheelchair through to the bathroom. They were quick to come down and slightly move dresser drawers. Then we realized there was no mini-fridge or microwave, but staff got ones for us. Put them on top bed stand next to wife's side of bed. The staff was very accommodating -- but it's weird we even had to worry about the issues. Place looks like it's from the 1970s, and our room looked it. Our outside door was marred and the lighting inside was poor. Room was really narrow and old. One picture was of a more modern part of motel, not the old larger part. I doubt we would have booked for over $90 a night for 2 nights if seen real place."

"Booked a room for my mother and my son to go swim. The pool was ice cold. They refused to turn the heater on in the pool and argued with my mom so the water was freezing. The room was flooded. Had to switch rooms. There was workers there at 1 AM outside banging on trailers so there was no sleep. And 6am the workers are back outside banging. Muddy boots in the hallway and the hotel staff are rude and could care less."

"Refrigerator was very loud, toilet handle had to be held down for 15 seconds to flush properly, microwave light was broken, walls are pretty thin, and the room would reek of weed every few hours. Amenities are very outdated and not very well maintained. The door handle didn’t work when we tried to get in and the manager had to help us, because apparently sometimes it only works if you turn the handle up. The central and lower floors don’t have a view of the lake. Managers were helpful, but the hotel was not the most pleasant experience and mostly only gave a roof over our heads."

"Let me start by saying: Cons... 1. Property needs some upgrade and the images on the website was not accurate. 2. Room safety chain was broke 3. No soap dish holder on bathroom sink 4. The table in room was wrobbly 5. Comforter and sheets were damp after check-in 6. Breakfast only consisted of cereal, premade waffles in bag, yogurt, muffins, juice, and milk in cafe container 7. Suites rooms ($400+) advertised online were false and did not have view of lake 8. Check-out was at 11:00am and was told at 11:01am, I would be charge an additional fee. 9. As I am leaving room after checking out, I had to place my luggage outside the door so not to be charged extra fee and the housekeeping was standing at the room door then proceeded to call front desk on walkie talkie. 10. Outdoor pool had a security guard on watch once my family party of 10 entered as if we would be a problem. 11. Walking the property trails/grounds at night were not well lighted, pretty dark to walk alone. 12. Hotel charged your card 3 days prior to arrival. 11. This resort gave me an impression of a slave quarters... not people of color friendly. Pros... 1. The new Encore restaurant was nice and good food. 2. The roof bar was nice overlooking the lake 3. Swim-up pool bar was small, but nice. 4. It was close to major highway, restaurants and shopping."
