"I like staying here. Unfortunately the “social area” is directly in front of many of the rooms (bbq, picnic tables). Noise went late. Also, could they turn off some of the extremely bright lights on the front? These (and the bug zapper) were on the entire night. Again, great in many ways, could be better with some minor adjustments/enforcement. Issued occurred past 10 pm and I didn’t want to bother the staff, or elicit the ire of other guests."

"The hotel makes you feel like FAMILY. And the pool is the best way to cool off after the river of course. And they have a grill all ready for you to use and the best part is you don’t have to clean it yourself! I would recommend this hotel to anybody with a family. And we happen to stay on a night where a singing group was meeting. It was wonderful. Our own concert under the stars"

"I liked that it sits directly on the Upper Kern River & there is a wonderful private beach. I The lodge staff is very careful to monitor the beach to keep outsiders from using it. There is also free parking and easy access to the rooms. They served coffee every morning in the patio area and there was an ice machine. I also liked the patio area and each room has 2 chairs and a cute large tree stump for a table. The beds were comfortable with cute sheets. The air conditioner worked great!! The lodge is old and could use an upgrade. The rooms and the bathroom are small. It would help if there were hooks in the bathroom. For two people one towel rack is not enough. Add one hook next to the shower and another next to the door. Also a few hooks in the room would help a lot."
