"I booked a three-night stay at Best Western Carlsbad by the Sea through Expedia but checked out after two nights because the bed and pillows were in terrible condition. The mattress had no cushioning left and sank straight to the bottom, and the pillows were lumpy and misshapen. I had to buy my own pillows and materials just to make the bed usable, and still barely slept. I reported this to the front desk, but the only response was, "I will let them know." No apology, no room change, and no assistance. I ended up leaving a day early because the room was not usable. Very disappointing stay."

"Don’t get me wrong room was clean more of a older hotel for sure the line was long for check in only 2 people working parking is horrible so I recommend valet for 45$ a night and they also don’t have a elevator so expect a 1hr of waiting for your luggage if you have a lot. As we struggled to find our room the key didn’t work so I had to go back and wait in line to get new keys?! Definitely won’t be staying here again. "
