Parador de Almagro
10/10 Excellent
"This is a historical Parador. The converted abbey retains all the historical character with modern conveniences. The theme is even maintained in the room with items like the refrigerator and safe hidden inside period furniture. In addition to breakfast, we also elected to eat dinner here as well. The beef tenderloin was excellent with good presentation. The front desk staff were excellent and spoke good english. Parking is conveniently located inside the abbey complex. Even though Almagro is not a large town, there are surprisingly several things to see here. There is also a voucher you can purchase locally at the sights that provides a discounted single price admission to any 3 of the city's sites. The "El Silo de Almagro (Mirador)" was really a wonderful surprise offering excellent views of the town."

"We stayed one night after a long flight arriving in Madrid. The hotel is beautiful and quiet. We appreciated the provided breakfast as well as the bar. The town is very quaint with many shops and restaurants easily walkable from the hotel."
