"The most amazing thing about this room was how quiet it is there. The window in the room has an amazing view and is completely private. Nothing to see but an oak tree and views. I left the windows open and woke to the sound of birds. The bed was comfortable and the room spacious and clean."
"I walked into the lobby and was greeted by THE MOST hospitable and loving couple! They acted like they had been awaiting my arrival like long a lost child! LOL They were sincerely caring about me, my stay, what I needed, how they could help, etc. I was shocked and blown away. I don't know if I'll ever be up in Jackson, CA again, but I will ABSOLUTELY stay here again. It was quiet, clean, and I felt so welcome. THANK YOU, wonderful hosts who I don't even know your names! You made my short time in Jackson so much better."
Kiota Inn & Event Center Sutter Creek, an Ascend Collection Hotel
8/10 Good
"This is a wonderful modern hotel. It is possibly the nicest hotel in the Sutter Creek area. The hotel is well maintained and the rooms are excellent. The beds are extremely comfortable. I really liked the modern shower. Their staff is polite and very helpful. A large television is in the room with a large selection of cable channels. You could not however sign into and use your personal apps such as You Tube or Netflix on their television. They have a basic complimentary breakfast, which includes things like cereal, boiled eggs, pastries, and juice. They also have a make your own waffle machine. The breakfast did not include cooked items like scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, or potatoes."
"The room was fine; clean and somewhat modern. What was annoying was that after I booked thru Expedia I called the motel ans asked to have a top floor room if one was available. The guy who answered the call stated that since I booked thru EXPEDIA there was absolutely NOTHING he could do about even considering my request. Made me feel like I was "second class" for booking thru EXPEDIA. The ground floor room was what I booked and that was that. When I got there....the room was right adjacent to the busy road. It's an older place built right against the highway. There were PLENTY of available rooms on the top floor at the back. I would have had a better experience there. Puzzling about how he bad-mouthed Expedia. Oh well."
