"New and clean hotel that was a true bargain at about US$ 12 per night. Staff was very helpful in terms of places to visit in the surrounding region. "

"As always, the Oro Verde Cuenca is the best place to stay. They are always accommodating and go above and beyond. I brought my fiancée, our just turned 6 month old daughter, and our family dog to celebrate my daughter 6 month birthday at the place were we brought her to right after she was born. The hotel manager and staff recognized us since we always stay there, and they brought us a delicious cake and gave our dog a lovely toy, snack, and doggie bed. I couldn't be more grateful for how they always treat us which is why we consider the Oro Verde Cuenca our home away from home. We can't wait to come back. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️"
"This is one of the best hotels in Cuenca. They put a hot water bottle in your bed. It’s amazing, and there really isn’t service like this in most hotels. Also, the garden is really nice. I will definitely be back."
"We stayed in the Presidential Suite, and it was amazing!! The suit was as good as it gets, the hotel itself was gorgeous, terrific service, wonderful restaurant, and PERFECT location. "
"The building is a beautiful and charming example of colonial Spanish architecture, complete with two enclosed "courtyards". The complimentary breakfast included eggs with choice of veggies and preparation, yogurt with copious fresh fruit and granola, a selection of fresh breads, fresh squeezed fruit juice, and choice of delicious coffee or hot chocolate. The staff members were very friendly and helpful; most spoke English, all spoke Spanish. The location was within several minutes walking distance of the center of the Historic District (restaurants, cathedrals, museums, markets). Our room was small but we managed nicely with creative use of the closet, bedside tables, and bathroom storage. "
"A nice quiet getaway about 35 minutes from Cuenca. Surrounded by nature, enabling one to go for walks. It is a family run place and the hosts are very friendly and helpful."
"The place is amazing I highly recommend!
The food and the staff are also very comfortably welcoming.
If you live nature this is the spot for you!
However, I went for my cousins wedding and I booked THE PRESIDENTIAL room since most of the brides family was going to be coming into my room for hair and makeup. We needed the extra room. On the contrary I got a junior suite. My suite number was 218, which was way small than what I asked AND PAID FOR. My room only had 1 bathroom instead of the 2 individual bathrooms that was advertised by Expedia. "
