"So excited to snag a room at this lodge inside the Mess Verde National Park. The views are amazing. Nice, basic accommodations. The lounge has an outside seating area perfect for enjoying drinks and the views. The restaurant also has great views to go with delicious meals. The trout was amazing. Our server,Brian, did an exceptional job because they were short staffed. This was Oct 2 and the govt shut down had closed the park. We were still able to drive the park and take in the views. Being able to stay there helped soften the blow of not being able to do the Cliff Dwelling tour. "
"Stayed 9-30-25 for 1 night. Had an issue & the Hotel Front Desk Staff worked with us to resolve it expediantly. We were very happy wigh the outcome & appreciated them very much. Room was very nice, clean, spacious & felt very safe. Would recommend."
"Oldish property, undergoing remodeling (according to owners). Clean and pleasant room, new A/C, very nice owners who fulfilled all our requests. The place has a lot of potential, but also needs tons of work. A good place to stay at a reasonable price - would recommend. "
"The house served our purpose well. They beds were comfortable and the bathrooms and kitchen were clean. The back porch and grounds could use a little TLC but that didn’t stop us from enjoying ourselves. It was very close to all the attractions near Cortez."
