Schlichtes Hotel in einem Castell

Leider waren wir von diesem Hotel enttäuscht. Es war zu weit weg vom Strand. Meerblick heißt halt dann doch nicht am Meer. Die Zimmer waren sehr schön und auch sauber. Jedoch war die Wasserversorgung nicht immer gewährt, so dass das duschen zu einer humanen Zeit am Morgen, man will ja nicht schon um 7:00 Uhr aufstehen, nicht möglich war, da kein Wasser da war. Das Frühstück war ok. Ist serviert worden. Sonderwünsche hätte man äußern müssen, dann hätte man Sie auch auf jeden Fall bekommen. Die Anfahrt war ein wahres Erlebnis. Man musste einen Berg hoch und die Zufahrt zum Hotel war sehr eng. Beim eincheck ab 14:00 Uhr mussten wir warten, da dass klingeln nicht gehört wurde. Bei der Abreise war zum verabredeten Zeitpunkt die italienische Pünktlichkeit zu spüren, leicht verspätet.

Lovely hotel close to Paestum

The hotel Castello dei Principi is a nicely renovated old estate in a quiet and picturesque area with a amazing view on Amalfi coast and Capri. The host gave us a warm welcome and a very comfortable room (with a view on Amalfi Coast) decorated with old furniture. He proposed us a dinner in the restaurant of the hotel that was one of our best experiences in Italy. Mr Alfredo is not only an amateur of opera and jazz, but also an adept of slow food prepared with local ingredients. He kindly provided us with information on the history of his small castle and the area. Castello dei Principi is very reasonably priced and offers excellent value for your money. We strongly recommend it for couples and families (pets accepted). Rather than going to Paestum of a day trip by train, it is worth renting a car from Naples or Salerno and enjoy the visit of the area for at least a couple of days. We will definitively stay there again if we travel to Campania.

Ambiance incroyable

On a beaucoup aimé l'ambiance médiévale de l’hôtel et du petit village, la nuit tombé ca faisait son effet. A notre arrivée le propriétaire, qui ne semble pas avoir d'employé, n'était pas la. Apres quelques minutes de panique, il est arrivé, il disait etre allé cherché des cigarettes. Par contre il s'est assuré que nous ne manquions de rien. Voyant notre intérêt pour la photo et le vieux village, il nous a ouvert la petite chapelle privé de l'hotel. Il y a de superbe air commune avec sofa. Le dejeuner était tres simple par contre le lendemain.

Abbiamo pernottato una notte in questa struttura, la camera assegnataci era spaziosa, ma sprovvista di condizionatore (in camera c'era solo un ventilatore a piantana insufficiente per la calura di agosto) e il tappeto rilasciava parecchi peli sul pavimento. La struttura è fornita di ristorante, qualità dei piatti provati buona, ma tempi di servizio un po' lunghi. Gentili i gestori

Il bagno non è in camera, il letto era piuttosto scomodo, wifi non disponibile, l'acqua arrivava in bagno solo in certi orari (!!!). La colazione è stata buona ed abbondante, il personale cortese. Se fosse un b&b la valutazione sarebbe buona ma come albergo non raggiunge la sufficienza.

Very Nice Hotel that is somewhat out of the way. Probably only recommended if you have a car The Staff/Owner was very pleasant and you really feel you are in a country inn. Wir haben eine kleine Küstenfahrt an der Amalfiküste gemacht und der letzte Stopp zum Übernachten war das kleine, feine Castello dei Principi. Wir waren völlig kaputt vom Tag und kamen erst gegen Abend an, die Anreise war ein kleines Abenteuer durch Feldwege. Angekommen grüßte uns ein netter Herr und teilte uns gleich mit, dass unser gebuchtes Economy-Zimmer nicht verfügbar sei und wir ein kostenloses Upgrade bekommen würden: Superiorzimmer mit Meerblick! Traumhaft! Das Zimmer war sehr groß, sauber und mit einem unbeschreiblich Ausblick auf die Küste. Das Hotel hat alle Erwartungen übertroffen. Wir haben uns pudelwohl gefühlt, der Service war mehr als perfekt. Abends haben wir dort gegessen und es war fabelhaft. Ein absoluter Genuss! Morgens gabs zusätzlich noch Spiegelei mit Bacon ohne Aufpreis. Wir waren absolut begeistert und würde das Hotel jederzeit weiterempfehlen oder sogar bald selbst wiederkommen!

The hotel is located on a very small town close to Paestum. You will need a car to be able to get there but you will be able to get away from the noise of the city and the tourists. The staff is very welcoming and offer a very familiar treatment. The breakfast is simple but good and the restaurant is worth trying it.

Ogni tanto ritorno in questo posto dove la prima volta mi sono trovato per caso. Posto Meraviglioso con un panorama splendido dove si può ammirare sia il mare di capri e la natura incontaminata vera e propria che circonda l'Hotel. Altre meraviglie è l'ospitalità dei gestori e di tutto il personale a disposizione dei clienti. La sera al nostro arrivo abbiamo cenato con antipasti tipici della zona un primo di ravioli di magro e fusilli conditi con sugo speciale, di secondo abbiamo mangiato una grigliata mista di gamboni e pesce fresco di giornata con contorno di insalata il tutto molto gustoso e succulente. A fine cena ci hanno offerto un gustosissimo caffè con ammazzacaffè. La mattina dopo ci siamo alzati e siamo andati ha fare colazione, dove ci hanno servito dei cornetti caldi appena sfornati, delle fette biscottate con del burro e delle marmellate, della nutella , della torta rustica preparata in loco e della frutta fresca di stagione con cappuccino acqua minerale succo di frutta e caffè in abbondanza.

Hard to find the location. Very cold in the room, hot water are wavely and weakly...But the food was good.
