"We turned up the place was dirty the mens toilet was really dirty and smelt there was not air in reception and children kicking a ball did not stop as we was going from carpark there was dog poo been there a long time wished I have never paid up front stay away worse place and reception could not speak English"

"The hotel was central and not too far from the car park. However I have to say the bed was genuinely quite uncomfortable and the pillows disappeared when your head was on them. The breakfast was great and varied. Coffee wasn’t bad. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Nice stay for the beds could be much much better"

"Staff was friendly & helpful. The location is good for a short stay, easy access to the port and trails. Hotel is typical creaky old labyrinth with some charm - none of the lights worked in our room. Did not eat in the $$$ restaurant."

"Avoid this hotel at all cost. Firstly the hotel reception is located in the main restaurant and the staff are too busy dealing with other customers so you will end up waiting with luggage in a restaurant trying to check in, staff are unhelpful and do not even greet you. The rooms are stuffy and uncomfortable. I stayed with my family and the bathroom is dirty and smelly. When i complained for a different room staff told me to check out and request refund because no other room can be given. The water pressure is very low and bath tubs are dirty . Alot of lime scale is visible on taps and the carpets seem very old, beds are ok but the bedding had yellow stains in the corner as housekeeping may have tried to hide from guests. I also noticed mice running around in the carpark that made my kids feel uneasy. Maybe because restaurant food waste was left at the back of the building."
